The blue backlit display is great for lighting up the readings. Take advantage of the tare function that will let you zero out the weight of the previous ingredient or that of the container thus giving you a net weight each time, up to 11 lbs or 5kgs. There is no need to calibrate this kitchen scale. Just place the scale on a flat, solid surface and press the tare button for two seconds to set it to "0" on display. Press the unit button to toggle to the unit of measurement you need and it is ready to use. This scale has the options of lb:oz, fl:oz (W), fl:oz (M) and KG as units of measure. This kitchen scale is also easy to clean with wipe of a damp cloth. 2 AAA are included in this scale. Very satisfied

I got this scale opened it up and tested it.  I set an unopened bottle of Listerine on the scale got the weight, picked it up and set it down again.  Doing this 10 times returned a total of 3 different weights.  While the weights were all within 3 grams this is just not accurate enough. for me.

Returned 3 different weights on the same item.

I know it will be handy.  My old one went missing.

Wonderful. The display is large and back-lit. I can actually read it!!

Very pleased

Tested tiny weights (20g) on the scale to assess accuracy three times throughout the day, and all three measurements were different and inaccurate (150g, 804g, 301g). Buttons also don't work well and you have to press them multiple times for the command to register.

Worked great for the first month. Now everything it weighs is 3x the amount it actually is? Weird

Nope

Even after the empty weight is zero, Everything it weighs is 3x to 5x times the amount it actually is?  This is very Weird. 
Not sure how to repair or recalibrate it.

Wrong readings

The scale works great and I like the blue display.
