Don't undercook meat anymore: With this thermometer, you can get accurate readings of the internal temperature of your foods in seconds. It's important to get some meat to an internal temperature that is safe for eating. Health Canada suggests using a food thermometer and to check each piece separately if you have more than one piece. Keep the juices in: Since you should insert the thermometer through the thickest part of the meat, all the way to middle and not to the bone to get the internal temperature, you could do that confidently with our ultra fine stainless steel tip that will pierce just enough to give you a reading but without losing all the juicy goodness from your meat. Easy to read: With the clear bright blue backlight in the display, you can see the reading easily! Don't worry about missing the reading: use the HOLD button to retain the reading on the display screen once you have removed the probe from the meat and it will keep the temperature that it measured. To use your thermometer, turn the unit on and press the °C /°F button located on the back to select your preferred unit of measure. Insert probe at least one inch (2.5 cm) into the thickest part of meat or poultry. Digits will stabilize once reading is complete.

Useful if all you care about is if your meat is cooked enough to eat. If you are about your meat cooked  to a certain degree, better use the wireless one.

Decent But Not The Best

This thermometer is awesome for getting a quick temperature of any meat of food item.  Perfectly sized and clear screen to see the temperature needed.  Nice addition to the kitchen.

Digital thermometer that's easy to use. Very easy to see the readings and have been teaching my kids how to use it. They love cooking and having this shows then when the meats are done. They love using it too.
