[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried using this for a large fireplace with a 60” opening, and unfortunately it just didn't look right. It felt undersized and a bit out of proportion for that size opening.

If you're mainly using it for basic safety purposes, it could work well for a smaller fireplace. However, if your fireplace has a raised step or hearth, the depth may cause it to sit awkwardly because of the rear stability bar — it doesn't rest properly in that setup.

To be fair, this product is designed for a stove, not a large open fireplace, so I knew I was taking a chance. It just wasn't the right fit for my application.

For safety not looks - too wide for step.
