We have had other weather stations, but this one seems by far the best most comprehensive station so far! We need a variety of weather conditions to fully appreciate it, but I'm sure the weather will change soon enough.

This is my second Accurite Weather Station. The first lasted 5 years. We live in Southern California so the heat here is brutal. Our family relies on the Accurite weather station to keep up with the current weather. It is obvious when the hot dry Santa Ana winds are blowing the RH drops to about 14%.
 All in all we have enjoyed the first weather station so I ordered a new one. The new station set up in about 5 minutes. It was an easy setup. It works great and I am hoping to get another 5 years out of it. I checked other stations near my house in the Weather Underground and we all read about the same. The unit is very accurate. So far we love the new unit.

We loved the first weather station, got a second one.

I've owned an Iris, many years ago and now I'm using my second Atlas w/lightning detection.   This combination sensor package just works great.  It keeps accurate temperature, rain amounts, humidity, sunlight measurements, lightning strikes and distance and wind speeds.  Today's storm racked up .67 inches of rain, a wind speed of 22mph, 17 lightning strikes with the closest at 3 miles.   I've had it up even through hurricanes, luckily it's still recording today.  
My only concern is that these slimy tree frogs love to climb into it and clog up the fan that helps keep the temperature accurate, by moving air over the temp sensor all day, and thus keeping it from building up heat inside of the housing and giving inaccurate measurements. 
I'll have one of these at my house as long as I can as I check it every morning for the current temperature as we live in a spot where it is usually cooler here than reported by the local weather forecasts.  I check the rain amounts so I know to water my lawn or not, it's just an invaluable treasure trove of information.  Thank you to Acurite for such a nice, accurate and relatively inexpensive weather reporting device.

Atlas and Lightning detector are working as expected

Like this unit much better than previous unit because of the remote battery system.  My unit is located on a pole and the older unit had to be taken down every time to change batteries.  With this new unit I don't have to do this a real nice convenience.

Atlas weather sensor

This is a great addition to the Atlas. I can't imagine using the Atlas without it. Even when it's sunny, the alarm in the display alerts me to an approaching storm. I check the weather sites, and sure enough, lightning is close by. It worked so well; I purchased the pocket Acurite lightning detector to keep me safe when away from my Atlas.

I find your equipment operates quite well in the Northern Ontario climate, so I like to carry it in your store. I don't know how this will perform, but have had good success with the Iris lightning detector so am pretty sure my clients will be satisfied.

I wish it worked, not acurite fault didn't fit the model I have - but everything else that I have gotten from them is great

didnt fit

The lightning detector works great when the storm is 6 miles away. However, when the storm is on top of us it errors out and doesn't give a real time display. I followed the reset process in the Q & A but no change. This is my second detector and both have the same issue.

Flakey performance

Very accurate, but not easy to set up the wifi. The system drops signal constantly and the interface dosen't have enough customization to personalize it. In my opinion the notos sensor is better. The atlas is not worth the money.
