This is a one great futon frame. Mind you, it is just the frame and you will have to buy the mattress separately.

Honestly, it takes some time to build and you have to be comfortable with tools and you need space to work it. It is also large so see if you don't have enough space, consider commandeering your neighbor's apartment under the premise of "Manifest Destiny". Once the futon is built, you can just move the frame back to your apartment and explain it was all a mistake, that you misunderstood the constitution (blah, blah - you get the idea) and then send them a gift for their discomfort (flowers, wine, theater tickets - if you make them homeless while you used the space it their apartment, it may be a good idea to send all three).

It was easy to follow instructions, but expect to be at it for about two hours (total) because it can be exhausting!

Once the futon is built, it seems pretty sturdy. I like it.

I'm 60 years old and bought this for the guest room to turn into a bed. I assembled the entire thing myself and had little-to-no problems. The instructions were pretty good with only a little confusion as the pictures didn't always show the best angles in which to hold some bars that would be attached, but I figured it out through common sense. It's pretty sturdy and holds the heavy 8" mattress well. Our guests sleep very comfortably they say, and it's a nice to look at too. I recommend this frame even if you have funds to buy something more expensive. There's no reason.

The only drawback, and this is minor, is that the mattress sits over the edge of the frame by about 12 inches. This is normal for any futon, I think. So you can't sit on the edge of the bed like on a conventional bed else it tips and you might find yourself on the floor lol. If you sit on the bed you have to sit back farther if you're tying your shoe. Other than that, I'm happy with it and don't regret anything.

Good Frame

I shopped around for a while before settling on this futon frame.  It was really just the best bang for the buck...  I was worried because of some of the reviews about it being cheap looking and hard to put together.  Honestly the metal appears fine to me, it folds up and down just fine.  Seems sturdy.  I thought the instructions were OK (not nearly as difficult as some reviews led it on to be), just when in doubt follow the pictures.  It maybe took an hour to put together and that is using the tools they provided.  Maybe my expectations weren't high enough, but to me this futon for the price was exactly what I expected.  It looks just like the picture.  Fits the 8 inch DHP mattress good.

I was a bit skeptical about ordering this futon from Walmart and made the purchase solely on the reviews of other customers. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. The frame is well made and I feel it will last a lifetime. It's stylish and will complement any bedroom or living room. Looks extra rich with the 8" futon mattress. I bought it for a spare room and will be purchasing another one for my husband's man cave.

Great Purchase

The futon frame is low to the floor. Though it holds fatties 🤭🤣🤭 its not too bad. I would rather have the thicker bars in the top and bottom part and it be a bit higher off the floor. Ive got a different type mattress from a different futon that was more expensive that fell apart. I wish the people that make futons would make them to last and thicker bars to hold the fluffy people these tiny wire bars hold but as long as you dont flop on it this will last.

I do not understand the difficulties some have with the assembly of the frame. Manual was easy to understand, it's pictures with key numbers and letters for each part and nut/bolt, etc. Took my husband and I an hour to assemble, that's it.  We have now slept on it for a week, and we are around 280 lbs. combined, and we have had no problems with comfort. I do recommend rotating the mattress every couple of days, as the seating area gets far more pressure than the backrest, so we simply spin the mattress around every other day, as it keeps the compression of the cushions balanced. Mattress is comfortable, came in a large box, so no wait for decompression, nice and thick that night when we went to sleep, also, we do not feel the bars at all. Overall a good value for the money and, so far, no complaints. We will see how it lasts, as I would assume I will have to buy a better mattress eventually, but for now, this product (combo) is just fine.

Good value, easy to assemble and comfortable.

It is what it is.... A full size futon do not be shocked if it seems low to the ground also the support legs are more towards the center rather then on the edge.... For optimal safety in future should be at least two more legs on the edge of the frame. Also the head and foot raised up about one to two inches higher... But asides from those issues the bed frame is a good price and right choice for a Full futon frame.... Most futons seem to be a single size mattress that states its for two but more like a day bed.... Delivery on time and good shape.

Pros and cons

I wanted cheap but functional and that's what I got. Assembly was tough due to misalignments and poor instructions. But it's sturdy, folds with effort and works like it should. Not the easiest functioning or assembly item, but it works like I need.

I should have paid more attention to the other reviews and never have bought this product. Half of the parts were missing and there were no instructions... So we had to take it back to the store to get a refund. We ended up buying a different frame that was available in the store (from the same manufacturer). It had all the parts and very easy to follow instructions. So, do not risk it and buy a different futon frame because most likely you will not receive all the parts you need.

Please do not buy this product

You get what you pay for. Cheap brackets that bent the first time we tried laying the futon down with the matress on it. Buy from a company that prioritizes quality - not maxes profits by using cheap materials. 
2 stars instead of 1 strictly becuase it arrived in a timely manner and ahead of the date they originally gave.
