Used a cheap HF drywall texture gun ,. Did a shortbed silverado 6.5' and a toolbox , Bought two kits.

If i were to do it again i would start with the smallest tip base it in without the rubber crumb. Then spray a second coat with the crumb and medium tip. I like agressive texture and just a bit of the crumb goes a long way!

But overall i am very pleased and seems very tough. We sanded the bed's flat spots with a 36 grit sander disc on angle grinder then sanded everything else with 80 grit

Degreased wth lacquer thinner. Then sprayed it all with bulldog adhesion promoter and shot it.

Make sure you tape up tail light bolt holes as it will blow trough but wax and grease remover took it off

All told less that $200 invested
