Nice and thick to protect our carpet. The chair rolls along easily and doesn't sink down. Definitely recommend for carpeted areas.

My rolling chair sinks into it because it's not firm so rolling around is actually harder ON this mat than it was just on my berber carpet before adding the mat.  Unfortunately the sturdiness is the most important quality I was needing and I'll end up throwing this away soon.
