Love this tea kettle ! Had another one that was promised it'd whistle , when I got it, it didn't whistle at all, altho it was very pretty with the sparkles. There were two reasons I ordered the first one what the color,

I bought it as a gift for my mother and she was very pleased. It is such a bright metallic purple that it actually lifts her spirits as she starts her day. It is also a great conversation piece, because everybody asks where she got such a great colored tea kettle. Purple is hard to find in kitchen products.

I DO NOT KNOW WHY PEOPLE WOULD GIVE THIS KETTLE GOOD REVIEWS.. ALLUMINUM BOTTOM IS NOT A GOOD IDEA..CAN'T LEAVE WATER IN IT... AND THE PAINT JOB IS TERRIBLE ANY TIME WATER GETS AROUND IT THE PAINT RUNS. I WOULD NOT RECOMEND THIS TO ANY ONE
