The shoe trees do the job. They fit well to my AE shoes and keep them fresh when I don't wear them for long periods of time.

Excellent quality and functionality

Very happy with these shoe trees. Well made USA quality, strong cedar scent, smoothly sanded, no jagged edges or cracked/damaged/second-rate wood. Spring-loaded handle operates smoothly and easily. Combination toe splits with no effort required. Fills the toebox instep height really well. (I'm basically going over all the problems I've had with various shoe trees in the past, of which, these have none.) No complaints, but I do have an observation: these run shorter than all of my other "size large" shoe trees. My boots are all equivalent to a US size 11, and these just barely reach the heel counter with a firm hold. If you are close to being between sizes based on the size chart, I recommend taking the larger size.

Poor quality, the wood split at the pull tab while trying to remove one of the trees from a shoe on the second use. This made it very difficult to remove without getting splinters on the jagged surface.
