[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently received the 25 count Almay Makeup Remover Ultra Hydrating Cleansing Towelettes and have been using them for about a week. I can honestly say this product is not that good. I will start out with the pros... the size of these towelettes are great, the are bigger than my hand even when it is completely opened up. The smell of these wipes is pretty mild and not over bearing like some make up removers can be. The thickness of these wipes is good too, I stretched this wipe out pretty far and it did not tear at all which is awesome. I do like the fact that these wipes come in a little resealable pack which is awesome when you need to travel somewhere or need to go to the gym etc. 

The cons... these wipes made my face feel so oily and greasy. Every time I used one of these wipes I had to wash my face and hands with some other kind of face wash and/or soap. These wipes would not be a good pick if you were wanting to just wipe your face and go right to sleep etc. You would defiantly have to wash your face afterwards or take a shower. That was the biggest con for me. I included a picture of my hand after using these wipes for you to see just how it oily/greasy it was. 

Bottom line... I feel like these make up wipes defeat the purpose of being able to just wipe your face clean and go to bed because you DEFINITELY have to take a shower or rewash your face with soap/face wash due to the oily/greasy feeling that gets left behind. I would not recommend these wipes at all. Sorry.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A little repeat background info: I do not wear makeup much. Generally, about once a week. However, when I do, I like to use products that above all are effective. I also need products I can use quickly to remove my makeup and nourish my skin. My routine simply consists of a foundation creme with occasional eyeshadow. Super simple. The problem I've found is when removing the creme foundation it takes several washes to get it all off. I need a product that can get all the makeup off without multiple washes. While these wipes worked okay. They were not the greatest I've ever used. The first towelette I pulled out wasn't really that wet. It made it really hard to get all my makeup off the first go around. I used a second wipe to get off a larger portion of the makeup. While the second wipe got most of the makeup off, I was left feeling like there was still some residue left on my skin. My skin didn't feel moisturized. It felt dry and tight. These towels were not horrible. They worked after multiple wipes were used. However, they just didn't work as well as I would have like.

When I'm too tired to wash my face with soap and water, I just grab the towlette and remove any makeup that I had put on my face earlier that day. Just like a soap, it leaves my face feeling refreshed and clean. It is not harsh or hard on the face when it's used which made me like it even more.

Are they safe? Like a few others have noted, I have used twice.  Each time, I've ended up with extremely blurred, cloudy like vision.  Last time it happened it took two days to clear up.  I had two packages of these.  First packed got tossed immediately.  Was in a hurry forgot used this morning, still paying the price this evening.  Horrible and I didnt use all over the eyes.

My experience with these wipes is to be very cautious when using them around your eyes. Both times I have used them I have had had cloudy, blurry vision for at least 6-7 hours after. Other than that, they have worked well, but the cloudy eyes has me concerned enough that I'm just going to throw away the rest, just not worth the discomfort. I was interested to see similar experiences, somewhat concerning!

I do not have sensitive skin but opted for these makeup removing wipes on whim. After a couple uses I can confirm the towels are not moist enough so you end up rubbing your skin march harder than you should to remove makeup. The result is a burning sensation that is not at all pleasant. The scent on these is quite repulsive - it smells like stale milk instead of fresh and clean. Lastly, and by far the worst feature, is the burning irritation this towelettes leave behind on your eyes. I've had blurred vision and red, puffy, irritated eyes every time I use them corrected only by medicated drops and a solid night's sleep. I strongly recommend Almay reconsider this "hypoallergenic" formula as these are more harmful and harsh than helpful to someone with sensitive eyes or skin. I tried to give these a second and third chance but my reactions have been the same. Looks like these will be used to wipe my dog's paws after a muddy walk as I'm not one to waste.

Irritates Skin, Burns Eyes, Awful Smell
