Water-shedding, domed, lockable lid has generous openings on all 4-sides to receive refuse from any direction. It is a great heavy duty trash can. Definitely don't need to worry about it getting tipped over and with the locking lid there is no worries of animals getting into it. This trash can fit the need!! I've never been so excited over trash collecting until I got this. We also entertain A LOT, and the old standard cans were just dismal and unacceptable. This can is gorgeous and weatherproof. The top is covered, yet open on all four sides. It secures the rubbish, yet is easy to dispose of trash without soiling ones hands. It has four stylish stainless sides, and looks great anywhere. It's modern, sleek, and clean looking. The top locks and is connected with sturdy chains on two sides. It holds a lot at 40 gallons, and takes any standard forty gallon trash bags in the internal sturdy plastic can liner. I love that it's still light enough for me to move to locations as needed, yet still holds heavy loads of trash. I keep it in our backyard near the home daycare playground yet can easily move it to the front of our house for family and friend gatherings. I'll caution purchasers to inspect the box well since I almost lost the key to the locking top when I opened it. It locks and unlocks easily, which secures the sturdy lid. All I can say, is that I've never been in love with the look and functionality of a trash can for refuge as I am for this!

Gorgeous Trash

I chose to keep it on my deck since it is an outdoor trashcan that would usually be used in a commercial establishment.  I actually withstood a flash thunderstorm. We haven't had it very long, but from what I can tell it has held up really well in the outdoor weather and high traffic area. It's very sturdy and easy to change the bags. It's very nice looking with openings on all four sides. Fits great in our space.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This trash was acquired to go by our pool. We live in a valley and get a lot of high mountain winds.  A residential trash can does not stand up to those winds.  This is perfect for pool parties and to put the leaves we scoop out of the pool.  It locks which is not a big plus for us but is there if needed. The metal cut out sides look very modern and stylish.  It is a beautiful addition to our pool area. It is definitely more costly than a residential trash can but having it stay upright and not have trash all over the pool area during high winds is definitely worth it.  I can see this trash can lasting many years.

Perfect for our needs

It is very easy to put together, because all I had to do was put the legs on it.  This is the first trash can I have ever seen with a lock on it.  My least worry is an animal or the wind knocking it over, because this can is heavy duty and well made.
