The tension arm does a great job of holding the paper towels in place so they don't unroll and get in the way.  It also helps when it is time to tear off a paper towel.  The tension arm holds the roll in place and when I tear, it always rips along the perforated line evenly.

Then I saw this and had to have it because it had the little extension arm on the side that has a little tension that you adjust it for the role of paper towels. And of course it's stainless steel and who doesn't love stainless steel.  You have to get this and I will never have another normal plain paper towel holder ever.

Sturdy and sleek design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Alpine - Tension arm stainless steel paper towel holder about 2 weeks ago.  It works well with a new roll of paper towels but when it gets down to a half roll or less, it doesn't hold the roll still so you can pull it off with one hand.  It still keeps the roll from unraveling, which is good.  It does look really good on my counter.  I would recommend it to family and friends.

Clean Lines
