Has an overpowering scent that may be off-putting.

This is great for old itchy, scaly Alligator-like skin, it removes the flakes, is non-greasy, lasts all day long, your skin looks nourished  and healthy, and it also removes the keratosis bumps.  I have a lifetimes worth of lotions and ointments, expensive and cheap, and this stuff beats them all.

Don't like the smell but it really works.  I have extremely dry skin and develop skin cancer and precancer.  My dermatologist recommended I try this.

I have amazing skin thanks to this lotion. Originally I needed something moisturizing for my elbows and I was given a bottle of this lotion since my niece didn't like the smell. The intial scent bothered me but I'm used to it by now. No more ashy elbows! My skin feels moistured even if i dont put any lotion.

Softer and hydrated skin

This is hands-down the best lotion I have ever used. It makes my skin soft and smooth.  No more little bumps or rough patches. Even my elbows are smooth. I used to use all kinds of scrubs and treatments that are no longer necessary with daily use of this product. The instructions say to use it twice a day; I have never done that. I just apply it after I shower and it works like a charm. I know it seems a little expensive at first, but it is totally worth it. It's the only lotion I use now. The bottle really lasts.

Love this stuff .. Best lotion for very dry skin. Great results. Smells bad though.....like a permanent for hair. And a little sticky until it soaks in.

Works Great!!!

I require the daily lotion for dealing with my excema and extremely dry skin.  It may sting a bit on broken skin but heals the dryness, scaling, and cracking.

Daily use!

I bought this because I have pretty severe KP on the backs on my arms. I use this product along with CeraVe SA and Neutragena body wash. Ive been using them about 2 weeks and my bumps are barely visible and my arms feel smooth. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the smell is not great. However, if it works Im all for it!

the smell has terrific smells like pneumonia some kind of chemical and you should probably read before by the back of the bottle if you have sensitive or broken skin mild stinging and burning with her to England burning sensation had to discontinue

NONE of the pumps worked.  All FOUR failed!!  Fortunately, I had an older but larger bottle of it.  I had to cut the pump from the old larger bottle and have been using that to get the cream out of the Walmart bottles.  Amlactin is GREAT, but what good is it if I cannot get it out of the bottle?
