The 250 Watt, 120-Volt wall mounted panel heaters are safe, economical to use and work based on the principle of convective heat transfer. The panels are mounted ¾” from the wall to create a convection channel using the hardware provided and requires a simple do-it-yourself installation. Based on the principle of heat convection, the hot air rises and gets displaced by cooler air creating convective air currents within the room that gradually move warmer air to achieve a uniform ambient temperature. The Amaze-heaters do not have built-in fan; therefore, there is no noise and no stirred-up dust; this eliminates airborne dust problems. Easy to install and throws off nice warmth in a small room. I'm using it in a small bathroom to keep it dry. Perfect for that.

Good little unit

Installed in a small bathroom, only 40 sq. ft... I first plugged the unit in my shop thinking it's going to smell really bad.. After 2 hours I realized the smell wasn't even close as bad as I've been reading... I purchased a digital plugin thermostat to plug the unit into instead of purchasing the one that Amaze sells, it works great.. So far I'm impressed with the Amaze 250 watt, it's only been 3 days using it, and there is absolutely no more smell coming from it

Truth? It's but the wattage of a few high-watt bulbs, so it's not an "ONLY" heating system. A bathroom warmer OK ( If you put it on ahead enough) or maybe under a desk * , It's OK....
LOOK, 250 watts is 1/4 of a Kilowatt per hour. If your supplier/delivery charge total per Kilowatt Hr is comparable to mine ( 16 cents per KWH) that's only 4 cents an hour to Pre-warm a bathroom some.... 2 1/2 hours on a DIME! My hiney's worth it!

* Caveat... If said desk is in a big open office area with a lot of air flow, the buildup of heat under the desk will not likely linger enough to matter. BUT... I did try it under MY 3-sidewalls formicaed-sided desk in my bedroom and though it took a half hour or so, it did get to 85 degrees under there in a 69 degree room.
( For 24 cents, I could have warm legs for 6 hours each day at my desk rather than cranking the heating system.) ***

Actually it's going to be used outside. ( Manufacturer recommends against that, but it's going to be in a weather protected now unused garbage shed. )
I am going to test this out as a refuge for a feral cats feeding spot (because we get Zero, and sometimes LOWER temps here in Winter,) and to keep canned "wet" food from freezing up before the ferals show up. It's only about 2 feet wide by 3 feet deep inside and has a makeshift plastic "kitty-door" As long as it throws enough warmth to keep a small area in there in front of the panel above 32 degrees, I'll consider it GOLD! I'm setting up a remote thermometer to keep tabs on this.
*** Run this 24/7 for 30 days straight though, and we're talking about $29 a month. Or 12 hours every day for $14 and change per month.
The heater is mostly everything it's SUPPOSED to be, so I'm pleased.
In a pinch.. It'd be an awesome and large 185 degree food warmer table?
I almost rated 4 though because 4 small capping nuts were missing on the shipment, but...You know?... MY pencils have erasers on them too.

I like how this heater doesn't take up any floor space and is perfectly silent. My only complaint is the chemical smell that is emitted when the unit is on. I understand this is common and I'm hoping it will go away soon.
I use this unit in my travel trailer and have it mounted to a door. I could not use the mounting hardware that came with it as it is designed for drywall - I am using bolts from the back side of the door instead.
