Minted by the United States but not released for circulation, the 2008 Sacagawea Golden Dollar displays the original reverse image of the eagle. Not only was this coin not released for circulation but it was the last year for the original reverse designed by Thomas D. Rogers. The soaring eagle represents peace and freedom and is surrounded by 17 stars. Both the Philadelphia and Denver mint marks of the Sacagawea are included. The protective acrylic case also includes the 2008 JFK Half Dollar which was not released into general circulation. The US mint produced the 2008 JFK Half Dollar for the collector which had to be purchased in either bags, rolls or a mint set. The Philadelphia and Denver mint marks of the JFK Half Dollar are both proudly held in the clear case. A Certificate of Authenticity is included.. Genuine US Coins.
