[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The ADJ VF1300 fog machine works great. It took many 15 to 30 seconds to heat up but once it was ready, it stayed ready. I did initially have trouble getting the fog to come out on first attempt. I found that I needed a minimum of half a tank for it to actually push the fluid through the system. I'm not sure if that stays true once you burn through more than half the tank as I have not used that much fluid yet. I did have to purchase water based fluid. I got the normal fog and the low level fog. The low level fog did stay closer to the ground but I was outside and the wind had its way with the effect, so my results are not entirely valid. The remote that come with the unit works great. I was about 25 feet away and it still worked. I did not try farther than that. One downfall I have is my unit did not come with the mounting top bar it is supposed to come with. Because I got this for free in exchange for my honest review, I don't have a receipt to have customer service provide me with one. Although if I did, it seems like an easy process. Biggest take away is make sure you have than half a tank fluid, maybe even start with a full tank, to get the fluid into the system. Once I found that info out for myself it was an easy process and worked great. The housing is all metal and is not that heavy. But heavy enough it won't tip over.  Great product.

I ran it for about an hour and didn't have any issues with the device being hot. It is a very well crafted machine and comes with a year warranty from the manufacturer.
