Big beautiful wide mouth glass jars with screw top lids.  Extremely Well packed. I had ordered 8 and they all arrived safely.  FYI the jar mouth opening itself is a 4" wide circle so that means PLENTY of room for an adult hand to easily reach in with lots of room left over.  (See photo)

These containers are perfect and just what I was looking for. The tops can be a little persnicky putting home back on when you first get them but I was soon able to discover how to get them back on without and problem.  The hold a HUGE amount of food and they look really pretty in my kitchen.

i love the jars, but they are so large, I think most women would have trouble clasping them. Has anyone else not commented on this? I'm now working on getting some smaller jars.

Bought the same ones a few years back. Better priced back then. Hard to find gallon glass containers at a decent cost. Lid is okay. I always use an extra barrier such as wax paper or plastic to keep a tight seal.

Glass is best

The jars are a great size with a large opening. Only thing I disliked were the lids. There cheap with a glossy cardboard insert to seal the lid, instead of a better rubberized ring.

Was counting on have a nice seal to make my staple pantry items stay fresh and was disappointed when the seal was not sealing correctly. The lids snap off easily and do not close properly: my sugar and powder items will not be fresh .

ok jar. crap lid. 
it had most everything i needed in a jar except a lid that seals. the lid ruins it. not only does it not seal, it is flimsy and is hard to screw on right. 
oh, and i just remembered that there are sharp edges on the glass near the top ( i was able to file down). i ordered 4 different types of jars when I ordered to compare because i needed to buy many more, and i wanted to compare before buying a big supply. all of the others were pretty good and  recieved a 4.5- 5 rating. these were far, far, inferior to all of the others. i am not a hard grader, but these made it hard to find positives. they were cheap, though. there's that. 
   it's surprising and disappointing because i have trusted this brand and have many good products from them. do better, y'all.

Description says 4, but 1 jar rec'd in huge box. 4 does not =one!!!!!!!!!!!Either make it right or grant a refund, PLEASE!!!!!
