I tried to microwave cheese dip in a bowl and burnt my hand. Pyrex quality glass but better price. Now I can pour my queso dip all over my tortilla chips and home made beans! Second good use; I microwave 1/4 cup whole milk 30 seconds, add 2 Tablespoons of sugar. Hand held milk frother until whipped real good! Awesome with coffee! Walmart sells Keurig frother for $15. Highly recommend. Be prepared to make a mess until you get used to Kuerig frother.

This measuring cup is just what I was looking for, and I had to look high and low to find one. For some strange reason, a glass one cup measuring cup is not so readily available. Plastic ones are. Most of the glass measuring cups are either 2 cups or 4 cup and even though I looked everywhere, the last place I looked was Walmart. They also had in addition to carrying this item, a blow my mind super low below, all prices, price. And the ease of pick up without shopping at the store was so nice and easy to use. Never had to leave my car.

anchor hocking has been around for a long time with quality products. this measuring cup is no different. the glass measuring cups retain their measure gradients, whereas the plastic ones wear off. I would purchase this item again. glasses heavier than plastic if that is a concern otherwise measuring cup is great.

I thought I loved this cup when I bought it. A little over 6 months later we wake up to a completely shattered glass measuring cup. We have no idea why and had never put in a dishwasher. Our dishes are washed by hand. It was bought at Walmart in Hickory, North Carolina.

A Single Cup Measuring Cup

This cup has a manufacturing defect in the glass which resulted in a stress crack forming. I noticed the crack when it grew to about 4 inches long so I stopped using the cup before it completely shattered. My original Anchor Hocking lasted over 25 years of constant use before the measurement markings finally wore off. This one didn't last 2 weeks. Will return.

Product Quality

Picked it up. Brought it home. Hand washed and dried it. Set it on the counter. Six hours later, when about to use it, while standing less than 2 feet from it, it violently EXPLODED ... just like a bomb.  It was new, never used, empty, just on the kitchen countertop.  Very frightening, and extremely dangerous.  Glass shards everywhere in a 15-foot radius.

Four days after purchasing it shattered. It was sitting on a shelf with nothing around it. I have no idea how thick glass could shatter without an impact or temperature change.
