Overall great unit! Instructions are ok. The D SCREWS are not long enough. Several won't grab and hold. 1 or 2 threads at tip of screw to grab with. Had to use many of my own longer screws!!!

Some of the screw holes were too big for the screws but thankfully these weren't necessary to keep the shelves in place. The shelf is larger than it appears in the ad.

Nice shelf but unfortunately they don't give you long enough screws so it's har dot put together.

Looks nice

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) So the bookshelf once it's assembled is very cute! It doesn't look very expensive but it does the job and is kind of rustic. However, there were a lot of issues with the assembly. The holes in the bookshelf were not drilled low enough so it had to be drilled, also the shelves are made of particle board and they aren't very strong so it won't hold anything heavy. If I had paid for the product I likely would have returned it because of all of the trouble getting it set up. Overall it's cute but not amazing and given the difficulty with assembly I wouldn't recommend it unfortunately.

Cute Bookshelf, Disaster to Put Together

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I had really high hopes for this bookcase based on the pictures but I was sadly disappointed. It's practically impossible to put together as the screws are just not the right size making it not user friendly. My first attempt in putting it together I accidentally screwed a piece to my floor because the screw was very long. Then I tried to put the ‘ladder' portion (the side) onto it and the screws were way too short. To try and do it justice I used some longer screws I had at home which is the ONLY reason I was able to assemble it. Once assembled though it was cute, but I'm not sure if it would be worth the hassle had I not already gotten it. The wood splintered in the process of putting it together (especially when hammering the bamboo on), although that may be user error. I expected a better experience overall given the price…

Cute but impossible to assemble

I have built many pieces of furniture in my life, and when I opened this box, I was pleasantly surprised that there was not many parts to the bookcase, but oh man was this a challenge! The instructions are horrible. I had to take out my glasses. The screws that come in the box are the wrong screws, they're too short.. thank God my husband likes to build things and I was able to find screws in my garage that worked!
The actual bookcase is very pretty, once built I can say that it's sturdy and if I didn't have so much trouble building it. I would not have anything really to complain about.

If only it came with the right screws…

For context I have assembled a lot of furniture in my 56 years of life and this was the most frustrating experience I've had. The screws aren't long enough. Nothing lines up properly. . My son is going to try and reinforce it and put it in his room to hold his guitar picks. This is cheaply made and probably wouldn't last a week. . Would definitely NOT recommend

Horrible

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I was very excited to be able to get this product to review, but boy was I disappointed once I started putting it together. The quality just isn't there. The screws we almost long enough to hold the pieces together, and therefore it's not near sturdy enough to lay anything on. Even the shelves are not connecting together correctly. The only one currently getting enjoyment out of this is my cats.

Very poor quality, poorly made

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I was really disappointed with the Anko Fraser Rattan Bookcase. The top shelf arrived cracked, and the overall quality was poor. The screws provided were too short to hold the parts securely, so the structure feels unstable and pieces come loose easily. It looks nice, but the manufacturing issues make it unusable. Definitely not worth the hassle.
