Value For Money

We customarily would put an all-season car tire on our Highlander. When we bought it we were living in Arkansas and didn't do alot of off-road adventuring. We moved to NY and found that we needed snow tires in the winter, but I've always hated the idea of changing out my tires seasonally. I researched some options this year as I needed to get some new tires and winter is coming. I came across these tires, a great deal for fairly decent tires. While I'm hesitant to call them aggressive truck tires, they are more than aggressive enough for my Highlander. The tread pattern is more aggressive than the winter car tires I was pricing out, for less cost. During our first real snow this year, my SUV bit in just fine and I was able to climb my driveway first shot.

Ordered this tire based on the sale price and the size specifications listed on the website.  This tire does not meet those specs.    The spec for the 225/70R16 says 29 inches tall by 9 inches wide.  The tread is more like 6 inches and even on a wide rim the side wall width is less than 8 inches.  The tire looks small on my S10 pickup.  I have only driven a short distance with them, but they are noisy (road hum) and ride rough even when inflated properly.  Also the tires spun too easily while starting out from a stop in a moderate rain.  Over all I can not recommend the Antares SMT.
