Really nice compass.. love the poem.. the twist top seemed a big cheap in quality but it works good and I'm sure my husband will love it. The case is nice too. I read one reviewer said it was really tight.. I didn't find that true at all. Its a nice case.

I like this compass and pouch for a man's gift. I would improve on it by making the compass lid hinged instead of twist off, but it is a very nice gift.

Nice gift for any man!

The compass arm is very sensitive to movements so is hard to hold still to get a good reading, can't imagine putting on a belt loop as leather case seems to suggest. Best used if put in one spot & not moved.

So-so

I bought this as a graduation gift and wanted to have it engraved. I asked the CSR if the cover of the compass was smooth/engrave-able. She checked with the product manager and told me yes, it was. However, when I received the item I found that it was, in fact, not engrave-able. The engraver confirmed my assessment. I will be returning the item and will also be very cautious if I ever consider purchasing an item from this company again.

Item was not as described. I would not buy again.

Very cheaply made. Compass is not accurate, case is not as expected. The poem is lovely--that's bout it.
