But my girlfriend stole it from me and she absolutely loves it, says it's the best pen for art on her iPad she's ever used. Now she's addicted to her iPad again. Maybe it's my performance? Works great with my iPad! I had a generic brand Bluetooth tablet pencil, and it did exactly what $25 would get you. Didn't work well for me when I used it with my iPad for college, so I picked up an Apple Pencil on my way home from school one day. Have had no problems since! Holds charge very well, connected seamlessly, it's great! Not sure I would even need to spend the extra money for the “extras” of the newer models, first gen works perfectly great for me!

this is exactly what we needed bec my kid is an artist %26 wants to make sure the pencil has the oressure sensitivity, and some of the alternative brands don't have that.

I absolutely love my Apple Pencil (1st Gen)! I use it with my 10th-generation IPad, and it works perfectly — the pressure sensitivity makes writing and drawing feel smooth and natural. It's super responsive and great for notes, Procreate, and design apps. Definitely worth it if you enjoy being creative on your iPad!

1st Gen Apple Pencil

My baby has always wanted one of these and I decided this year when buying a new iPad I was going to buy the iPad pencil to go with it. Let's just say she loved her gift. I can't get her to put down the iPad or the pencil she loves to draw so that's one of the main reasons why I decided to go ahead and grab this pencil. It was brand new package was not damaged. Safe to say she was super excited. Thank you

Hey, you have an old iPad, and thank goodness it still works, but your most recent Apple Gen 1 pencil (probably your second or third) has once again burned through its SHORT battery life and it's unrepairable, so "clunk"...into the hazardous waste bin!  You need a new one because you're an artist and it really helps, so you've gotta  buy yet another replacement.  You already knew that, right?  The first two (or three) died the same way - like airPods, the Apple pencil is a consumable, not an investment.  You know the drill - shut up, pay up, and move on.

Setup and use almost totally transparent, once paired, just pick it up and use it. Seemed to work ok. Not sure the "pressure sensitivity" worked right on iPad A16. Should have made the decision to return it immediately, I ended up trading-in the iPad and switching to a MacBook for away-from-desk computing.

I like this Apple Pencil very much but it didn't work for that long. I bought it at the beginning of December. It is now August 31 and it is dead. Not only should this pen work for a couple of years at least, it is a huge waste of resources to make this pen such a disposable item. I think this is an irresponsible practice.

Great pen while it lasts

When I opened the item a few months after buying, when I went to connect to IPAD it did not connect. It stated battery was low, so I charged it following the instructions. It did not charge when plugging in to the iPad. It did not charge when using the connector. It still does not connect to ipad and battery remains dead
