I moved to Cincinnati a few months ago and still hadn't adjusted to the taste of their water.  I researched various options and websites, including Consumer Reports, and finally settled on Aqua Pure.  Installation wasn't too difficult, and the water tastes great!   Love my new Aqua Pure system!

Simple, straight forward install, easy filter replacement (check out supplyhouse.com for the best prices I have found on oem filters) and BETTER quality-than the major player in the bottled water business here in New England.
Our supply is the very large surface source for Boston, while generally quite good one has to deal with the chlorination and the intermittent summer algae blooms sort of an 'swampy' aroma-just like the bottled product every now and again.  For just over a year now  it has been great to be able to go to the faucet and get water with no smell at all-never, ever !  

The only negative is that  Aqua-Pure offers no upgrade to a premium dispenser/bar faucet/pillar tap or cold water facet- I would gladly pay more, much more for an all stainless or lead free high end faucet -why the Company cheaps out here is a mystery to me.

For what it is worth I am a recently retired resi mechanical contractor, business owner, and could have installed any system I wanted .  I carefully looked at everything available in the end the DWS1000 is what made the most sense, to me anyway.

I bought this unit and after 1 month the faucet began to drip so I bought new very expensive cartridge replacements and the same thing is happening again with new york city water. dws1000 unit.i am giving it a 2 as the slow dripping water I assume it's cleaner than tap water

I installed it after seeing the instructions a while ago, but it's crazy because the house is flooded at 3 o'clock in the morning. I turned off the main valve and checked and found that the line came out of the plastic connector installed in the water supply line, and the water came out like a waterfall. I cleaned the house for two or three hours and checked (there is a video) and found that the line fell out of the connector too easily. (There is a video) I think it's because of the faulty connector. I'm so busy that I can't return it, I can't even reinstall it, I don't know if I can just change the plastic connector, and what about the floor restoration that was filled with water? Electronics, especially vacuum cleaners, don't work, and how is anyone compensated in this case?
