Check dimensions as I had to trim my aquarium cover to fit it in when I didn't but great filter overall

Like it i have a 40 gallon finish tank and is crystal clear now

Aqua-tech

Keeps my 55Gal very clean and happy. water is clear and very stable. the dual filter system allows a large amount of beneficial bacterial growth. one negative about this filter is the fact that the water that is filtered up into the dual chambers too fast and overflows out over the lid and front of the unit. this isnt a huge deal as the water overflowing is clean water, however, it can be unsightly (mineral buildup) and is a little disappointing to see in a $60 filter. 

Note: never toss the filter cartridge, just scrap most (not all) of the gunk off into a bowl with spoon and put the filter cartridge back. this retains your tank biosphere and saves you money. you can also jumpstart new tanks with your bowl of gunk (beneficial bacteria). just be sure to rinse with aquarium water, as tap water has chlorine that can kill your beneficial bacteria.

I have purchased two of these filters in the past 4 months. The first one stopped working after 3 months. The 
2nd stopped after 2 weeks!.  I have followed the instructions on cleaning them and they were cleaned weekly.

I do not recommend this

Don't waste your money on this brand. this model is way too powerful for 30gal and is a pain to restart after cleaning the tank. I bought the next smaller size and it is not powerful enough and sooo finicky. I'm looking at buying for a 3rd time now! stay away from this brand.

Another piece of GARBAGE passed on to the consumer. Aqua-Tech: you should be ashamed of this product! IT BARELY DOES ANYTHING !! THE ONLY THING THIS PUMP SUCKS UP IS ELECTRICITY!
