This is exactly what I was looking for! It's large, long and easy to fill to start a suction. With some hot water it went together so easy. It also is the first gravel hose I have had in 40 years that flows even and slower. So I was able to go through all my gravel, only removed half the water in my tank, and never sucked up one piece of gravel! Usually I am quickly going through stones and end up removing 2/3 of the water. The best siphon/gravel cleaner I have ever found. Recommended!

Thus vacuum works very well. The long hose can get a little awkward, but the clip helps. The pump makes it easier to start the flow of water without scaring the fish. Just be sure to keep an eye on the vacuum end to be sure you don't suck up any fish, the opening is big enough to do that. Otherwise this product is great, and having a large opening is good for cleaning large tanks. It's just a common sense thing really.

Good value so far

I  bought this because it was recommended for turtle owners. It is amazing! I am very happy I spent the extra money to get the longer siphon. I totally recommend this! Also, the bulb does great!

Great Siphon! Recommend!!

I replaced my smaller siphon that I had to pump up and down in the water to make it flow and sometimes I had to really work at it, it also scared my fish doing it. The suction portion kept coming apart from the hose so I replaced it with this one. I was surprised at how large it was but WOW, I just squeezed the bulb a couple times and the water just gushed out! It's so fast and I wasn't watching the water flow closely that I almost overflowed my bucket! It works wonderfully!

Fast and Efficient!

Heavy duty, but the squeeze thing to activate the siphon requires way too much strength. I took it off and just use it the old-fashioned way now. It is thicker than other brands I've used and can drain a tank pretty quickly if that's what you're looking to do.

This is for a very large tank! Probably 50Gallon+ it was very useless for a 5G and sucked water very fast! It's a great value for those whom have a larger tank!

When I received this item with other items, I put it in my aquarium storage. I am just now using it for the first time and found a missing gravel intake tube.  it is too late to return it to the store and not sure how to get the missing part. Very disappointed!
