first thing, its  hard to buy something from a picture. reviews really help. so i really didn't know if i was buying something too small, or what??? 
i don't have lunch parties or gatherings anymore. so i have been trying to down size my kitchen. so this rice cooker really caught my eye! 
BEST BUY EVER!! 
the machine is easy to use. things easy to cook like rice, quinoa ect. gets cooked on the white rice setting. tuffer things like brown rice, gets cooked on the brown rice setting.  to turn it on you push warm, that will allow you to pick white rice setting or brown rice setting.
it come with recipes too. so i picked Mexican quinoa. put it all together and got it cooking. when it was done, a bell chimes a few times to say it was done. and went from white rice setting to back to warm. 
the machine is HOT you have to be careful handling it!! when you open it, open it so the top of the lid is facing you. that hot steam will burn you if you just open it.
the recipe fixed enough for 2 people. i had pork on the side. so after i ate, i put the left over quinoa in a bowl, with some pork and leftover chicken broth. now i have another meal.
2 meals off of 1 recipe is a great buy!
one more thing, i think i could of doubled the recipe. there was alot of room left in the bowl.

Excellent -- and very cute -- mini rice cooker.  Cooks rice perfectly.  Has settings for white rice and longer-cooking brown rice.  Light weight with handles for easy carrying.  Small size allows for storage anywhere.  Perfect amount of rice for 2-3 people. Comes with several recipes for making things other than rice (like enchiladas, omelets, soup, cheesecake, quinoa).  Also has website with more recipes.   After using the big, space-hogging and rice-wasting larger rice cookers (for many years), we were very happy to find this little gem.  Would also make a great gift.

Live in apartment just the right size does not take up a lot of countertop. Like that there is a setting for brown rice and white rice. Cooks both perfectly

Rice cooker

I purchased this for my mother who lives in a retirement small studio apartment. It's perfect because it doesn't take up space and it's excellent for one person.  Very easy to use and makes enough for one person, she loves it.

Perfect Size

Pros: Makes quick, great rice, for its size and price. Easy to use and clean. Great for single people, or a couple. 

Cons: no contrast on any of the measuring marks, making them hard to read  (my eyesight is not that great and I wear eyeglasses, tho). The keep-warm temperature after done is a little too high on my unit, which dries the rice considerably, if left in for several hours. If you Not a problem, if you remove the rice shortly after it's done.

"Mini-mi" Aroma ricer =D

First, this is small.  Just as it says.  It only makes a bit of rice at a time.  Just as it says.  I have to emphasize this because a lot of reviews for smaller rice makers complain that they don't make enough for a whole family when they are clearly marked as not being supposed to make much.  I put in one of those standard sized 180mL cups of rice with about 1 1/2 cups of water (up to the fill line) of a thirsty medium grain and that pretty much fills it up.

And when I say small, I really mean it.  You've probably seen those typical $20 rice makers.  This is maybe 3/4th their width, if that much and a little bit less tall too.  Counter space isn't a problem with this and it probably really is great for dorms and apartments.  It makes a loud beep, so you'll know when the rice is done.  Unlike most rice makers, the power can be actually switched off so you can conveniently just leave it plugged in when you're done and just press the power button to turn it off.  (Most switch to warm mode automatically and stay on it until you pull the plug or a certain number of hours pass.)  Like most, this one will still switch to warm mode when it's done, you just don't have to leave it there.  I really like not having to keep plugging and unplugging it every single time and appreciate the design on that.

I do have two complaints about this though.  First, for some reason the power plug comes out at an angle instead of straight out the back.  It's slightly angled from the back on the right (maybe 30 degrees.)  I have no clue why they did this, but this means you can't fit it close to a wall or other things on the right side but can on the left.  Baffling (intentional?) design flaw.  Naturally I have everything on the right, so it takes up more room than it should in effect.  The second thing is less of a problem.  The top part is a little hard to line up but has to be placed back on just so.  Most rice makers have a hinged top that uses a spring-lock to shut, but with this one you line it up just right and then move the two rings on the side up to snap on and hold it in place.  If it's off a couple of millimeters or so it won't go on right.  I think they made it removable so it's easier to clean since you can wash the top piece right in the sink, so for many people this is going to actually be a plus.  I just wish it was a little easier to align to get back into place.

I do also wish that the vent holes weren't straight up on the top.  I think they should have been in the side of the top instead.  If you live in a dusty area, dust could potentially settle inside.  I put high temperature tape folded over so it would be loose and let the steam pass through over the holes on mine.  (It warns not to cover the holes so pressure doesn't build up.)

I haven't tested leaving rice in a really long time yet.  I think any with a vent will dry up given a few hours.

Seems really good for 1-2 people. Cooks great!

The rice cooker was not at all what  I expected.
It was too small for the family..
However it is ideal for a student  living in a college dorm.s
