I have an older version of the same model MT300 and it has been used for several years on all kinds of school projects. Keep in mind that it is a Low Temp gun so if you need to bond to glass and other non-porous stuff you may need to also get a high temp gun. I have used this on pretty much everything and only recently ran into the issue of having it securely bond a plate to a metal thing. But for 99% of what we have used it for it was fine. The little kick stand is mostly useless because it is not wide enough to hold it upright because of the weight of the cord (maybe the newer version fixed that) but it never really mattered much. We just laid it on it side and it was fine.

Good for most everything

I used this product for fabrics and other DIYs, and it is a safe, fast-drying product that is easy to use. The small size is also a great plus. My only complaint is for it to heat up faster, but considering all the pros, it weighs out. Also very affordable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Gun doesn't get too hot to handle. Small tip is perfect for precise glue jobs but big enough for medium sized projects. Gun has a handy built-in stand which works pretty well (it could be slightly taller). Glue does drip from the gun a bit while it's a rest but never had a glue gun that didn't. This drips less than many i have used.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] You can use this handy dandy easily which comes with 10 insert glue sticks. Since this is small it can be useful for projects or almost anything.
All you need is to insert the glue sticks that come with it and plug it in, and you can glue almost anything. JUST WATCH OUT BECAUSE THE FRONT END GETS VERY HOT!!!!!

Great for simple wood projects

I fix almost every thing around the house, so this is one of my helpers. When my kids were little, I fixed they're tennis shoes several times, money was tight. Great money saver.

The labeling is not clear, but this seems to only be a low temperature glue gun with no high setting. I'm sure it's fine for a lot of projects, but i will be taking it back to the store. Please improve the labeling on this product.

the website says "comes with three mini glue sticks" maybe its supposed to but mine didn't.... returning.
