worked as expected and I was able to complete an urgent task right away. just remember to load staples with the gun upside down after you've released the spring tensioner.

I should also mention that to remove the stapler from the packaging first remove the very small screw securing the plastic clamp after removing the plastic zip tie.

It wouldn't shot a staple through a thin piece of metal and into thin wood. I'm not sure you could even get it to go through cloth into wood. I was really disappointed.

Not as strong as should be

Pleasantly surprised with the quality I've definitely put it through the ringer. I will say it is not small hand, friendly. That was a learning curve. If you have small hands, it can be a little hard to maneuver overall, it has a really strong. I really like the notch that it has in the front so you can guide instead of a guessing game of lining up where the staples are go overall happy with it.

Difficult to fully squeeze at times. Should have gotten the electric one since it is a bigger job, so if you're questioning it, spend the extra on electric. Well made otherwise and fits Universal staples T50. Never jammed on me.

Need good grip strength!

It is the simplest tool that does not require any external power source.  If you use this once in a long while, this would be perfect.

A battery-operated model would have to either use batteries or recharge frequently.  If you don't use it for a long time, the cells will degrade and render the tool useless.

Neat tool

comfortable grip and stamples go into hard wood with ease.  i didn't have any jams.  it did take me awhile to load the first time, every one i had before you pulled the slide out, put the staples in the magazine and then put slide back in.  i did this and couldn't get it back together.  This one is backward.

I like that it does punch the staples into the wood.  But because it is hard to squeeze the trigger, it is best to staple  horizontally.   This is especially true if you have little room for the staple as in a corner.   I have not had that issue with other staplers.  Still, it does a good job and the cost was good.

Bought for a friend. Pretty easy to use but for my friend who has problems with their hands was a little difficult but they have gotten used to using it.

The stapler was difficult to work due to the extra safety precaution and then when many of us finally figured out how to work yet the staples ejected from the stapler and would fall out
