Only time will tell but Im very pleased with the product I received.   It comes assembled except for the legs.  The instructions were clear on where to locate the hardware and how to install it.  It has very sturdy construction.  I am a large individual and there seemed to be no stress on the bench with me seated.

I bought two - one was easy to put legs on - remember legs are underneath bench in a hidden pocket.  One bench the holes for legs were aligned and it took seconds to put on the other one holes were so off I struggled for over 30 minutes getting them on had to maneuver with a screwdriver but I got them on.   Love the benches !!!!   And I used a longer and sturdier handle to get screws in...

Dinwiddie Buyer

Would have received 5 stars but they delivered it and the package of stay-fresh beads they put in the bottom compartment where the legs are stored was not sealed correctly and now I have a billion clear beads everywhere including rolling around the inside fabric of the ottoman.  But other than the fact that I step on a hard plastic bead every once in awhile despite vacuuming like crazy it is a nice ottoman.

To the manufacturer: seal the plastic bead bag

Product was exactly what I needed it was the correct width and height for my bed. The hinge was either broken before shipping or broken during shipping. Returned product but afraid to re-order for fear of getting another damaged product. If you look closely at the picture without leg installation you can see the right side will not close completely due to the hinge malfunction.

Doesn't seem to be aligned. It also doesn't open fully (seems like I'll break the hinge if I force it); It's roomy inside which is a plus, but very heavy & hard to move (for someone petite & weighs under 130 lbs); the style & color are good.  I'm probably so critical because I waited for this Item for 3 months !

I received the ottoman in a timely manner. The ottoman arrived with a very bad smell the smell was so bad that I almost sent it back. I let it air out for several days the smell has went away a little bit. The item is very well made sturdy one of the legs needed a longer screw to attach the rest fit fine the legs are in a compartment underneath the bottom of the ottoman. I did research online and found that the foul smell is often found in new furniture releasing gas. The leather is very cheap looking and can be easily damaged.

The smell will kill you

I LOVED this bench. It looks great and holds a lot more than I expected. It fits perfectly at the foot of my bed. I read the reviews last year about the stitching pulling apart, and I bought it anyway because I knew it wouldn't be used for sitting or anything other than storage, really. Well, here I am 1 year later, and the stitching is coming apart right on the top in two different seams. I wouldn't recommend this bench for that reason.

Stitching doesn't last

It looks decent, but its made extremely cheap. The holes to screw the feet in dont line up properly with the holes on the bottom of the bench, and a few of the bolts barely even reached the nut inside the bench that it screws into. Once the feet are finally on youre fully assembled. Except on mine they attached one of the two hinges that holds the seat open, to the wrong spot and it ripped off the first time I opened it up. I had to figure out why it ripped out and it was because they installed the top part of the hinge too low, causing the bottom part of the hinge to miss the frame where its supposed to be screwed Into. Instead they screwed it into the extremely thin siding of the box. So I had to re-install the hinge in the proper locations to get it to be functional.

We ordered this bench and it arrived without the legs, called customer service who graciously arranged for a new bench to be delivered.  We received the second bench again without the legs, It was ridiculous that this happened twice.  Will never buy anything else from Ashley.  Also when we opened the bench, it had the worst smell ever, really awful , not sure what that was, but just another negative aspect about this piece of "furniture"
