[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thus far, I can't find anything negative about the A50 Wireless + Base Station gaming headphones by ASTRO. Set up was simplistic. All I connected to my Xbox via the included usb cable, turned on my Xbox, and it paired immediately. At first I thought I must have not did something because it was very automatic. To be clear, I do have the ASTRO Gaming A50 Wireless + Base Station for XBOX Series Xjs, Xbox One & PC - Black/Gold. The entire presentation of this set is beautiful and would make a wonderful gift for any casual or professional gamer. I am not a professional gamer and I am in my 60's. I am a casual gamer and I did not realize what I was missing by not having quality gaming headphones. The sound is amazing and gives one the feeling of being right there inside the game. If you choose to connect to Xbox you can then go to the troubleshoot area and click on the Gaming Headphones set up.....they are already set up BUT you can go through the information and continue to click 'NEXT' to read more about how the headphones work, volume control, mic, etc. Included in this set is the little folder with diagram for connection. Totally awesome set!

Didn't Realize What I Was Missing!

It's remanufactured, so expect to get what you buy. Mine I had to update firmware a few times and it was a little quirky to get working right. Very rarely I have to disconnect/reconnect power to the base station to get the headset to pair again. 

The headset looked entirely new, the base station looks like it was salvaged from another pair, just minor scratches down in the slots for the headset.

Other than that works great, sounds great, haven't really been able to test range without obstruction, but it will go through 1-2 interior walls before getting some static.

Satisfied purchase.

the items battery is dying withen like 5 minutes the changing stand stopped working so i have to use a cord to chearge and thats is crazy because i only use it like twice a week

IF YOU HAVE SERIES X/S PLEASE READ:

They do not tell you anywhere that if you have an Xbox Series X/S that you have to jump through hoops to use this headset, IF you can even get it to work. You'll need your computer, download software onto your computer, plug in your new base station and headset to your computer, upload the software onto the base and headset, and hope it works. Check out the app on the Microsoft store needed for the update and look at the reviews: "Astro Command Center"

Hopefully I can get this to work....

IF YOU HAVE SERIES X/S PLEASE READ:

I was excited to get this headset because I've been wanting it for almost three years now but when I got it, the software was trash to get it updated, which is the only way to get it to work on Xbox X series X. The charger base does not consistently charge it and also the top head piece wouldn't stay attached to the headset. I had to return them because spending $300 and having all these problems with it is something I can't live with. Also the sound quality is like you're listening to the game in a hallway. This is not what I expected with the Astro especially since the A20's ran good for me for four years and still going.

Problems on top of problems with this headset

These are not what i ordered. They showed up extremely late, not in original package and everything shoved into a box that is way to small. No where does it say in the description that these are refurbished or used. And these are DEFINITELY USED. Do not waste your money. I will be returning these. As far as the sound goes, i have no clue. Im not putting used headphones on or even giving them a try. Save your money and shop somewhere else.

Didn't get the box for this headset and all I got was the headset and optical cable. Didn't give no charging cable r instructions for this. Wouldn't recommend anybody to get this headset from Walmart.

Doesn't work done tried everything that is said to to do online didn't read the fine print,

Seller sold me a very used headset and it wasn't marked as used.

The headset doesn't like the charge at all there's a little white box that jumps around and disconnects and then doesn't charge right and I had mine for a week that it.
