This laptop is fast. I upgraded from a 1060gtx laptop i bought in 2017.
I wanted to be able to play battlefield 2042 smoothly without question and i think this will deliver. My only complaint is that Asus is now offering battlefield 2042 games with a purchase and i was just a few days too early buying mine and missed the incentive.

I  use the laptop primarily for work (general office applications such as Email and Spreadsheets) as a desktop replacement.  Currently on Windows 11, and everything seems stable, with no complaints for my use case.

Good Utility

Replaced a laptop with a 1060ti and obviously I was a expecting a big improvement but - wow, man what a difference it is.  The computer runs silky smooth and quick.  300hz is amazing.  I wasn't sure how much I would be able to notice it over my 165 hz desktop monitor but it is 100% noticeable.  The only problem is that now I have to spend more money upgrading my desktop to something similar. Because this has spoiled me

Would buy again

What most caught my eye about this laptop was the design. There are very few laptops on the market which pay particular attention to the design. 

I love that the keyboard is extremely responsive and comfortable to use. And the gaming and multi-tasking performance is absolutely phenomenal! It's truly a dream come true!

Futuristic Gaming Dream

I'm coming off using a Razer 17” so I'm used to the laptop running hot. However this Strix G17 runs fast, boosts great and runs cool. I did modify the fan curve to be a bit more aggressive but I can game for hours and rarely break 80c. Runs all my games fantastic and the screen is fantastic

Solid great gaming machine

This laptop screams, high end gaming at a reasonable price. It's fast, overclocking and internal fan speeds are extremely to do with this model. Been very happy so far. No complaints! Thank you for building a high end gaming laptop that fits my budget

No Disappointments Here!

This is a great machine!  I use it for work, play and just general surfing and communicating.  The keyboard feels great and I find I can type quickly.  Not a lot of bloatware and the utilities it comes with are useful in keeping things up to date.  The graphics quality is fantastic and I am able to run all my games on high settings with no lag or hesitation.  I can highly recommend this laptop if you're looking for something that stays plugged in.  Since it's a gaming laptop, the battery doesn't last a long time and that is totally expected.

Great machine!  Love it!

I was very excited when I was unboxing and playing something for the first time, and I was extremely happy with it at first, but then realized that none of the Fn keys have the function that they should have, for instance, F10 to turn on and off the touchpad, does not do anything to my knowledge, and F1, the mute, doesn't do anything on an app, but when on a browser it opens 'Microsoft Edge Help and Learning Center', and the dim and brighten buttons (F2 and F3) don't do anything at all. These are just some of the examples, none of them do what they should, and I am very reliant on them. I did some research and I have noticed that almost all of these problems are related to the ASUS brand, I am not sure if it came defective or not, but I would like to know. Not very impressive ASUS.

Runs like a dream, but Fn keys don't work.

Works great! Fantastic performance, great keyboard, and the high-refresh screen is super cool. It's only 4 stars instead of 5 because mine has a minor graphical glitch (part of the screen is dimmer than the rest), but it's under warranty so all is good.

Great laptop

This very good, I have had slight details in the experience, which I think could finalize to complete my experience, first it does not bring the 4 transparent keys (A,W,S,D) a detail that if it brings the g15 and that I find it bad that it does not have, a webcam is something that should not have been removed something of medium quality, maybe with facial recognition like the Alienware r15, which is of the same level as the g15 and brings webcam,for the price it was worth it seems to me that I had to include the type c charger and finally I had slight problems with the system, when buying a laptop of this range imagine that I would never have problems with updating drivers, or that I did not open applications, I guess they're light and will be updated

Details Asus Rog G17

Out of the box, this device had a lot of issues that led to me returning it. There was a terrible latency issue that led me to disabling the AI Audio and avoiding updating certain drivers as well as disabling some features that I'd have preferred to keep. That fixed the latency, but the next problem was finding RAM that had a native speed of 3200mhz since there aren't any XMP/DOCP settings in the bios. The last issued that pushed me over the edge was terrible coil whine that was almost louder than the fans. I wanted to simply get another unit, but when I returned it, i was just refunded because there is no stock anywhere and now I'm just waiting like everyone to buy this once more and see if it was just a dud. 

Fairly disappointing hardware experience to say the least, but the waiting isn't really ASUS' fault.
