I've been using the ROG X870-A Gaming WiFi motherboard for some time now, and its design is excellent. The clean white and silver theme perfectly complements modern gaming setups, especially for building a white-themed PC.
The WiFi 7 connection is fast, stable, and reliable, with low latency. I haven't experienced any disconnections or latency fluctuations.

Excellent Gaming Motherboard

I bought this board to replace an Aorus X870E Pro Ice that had nothing but problems.  I had to replace the Aorus board twice and was finally over it.  This board is great.  The flash bios and clear CMOS buttons on the back make life easy.  Tons of USB type A and 40gb USB C on the back I/O.  It looks great in my all white build and has a much biggest list of QVL RAM than other manufacturers.  Everything has been smooth sailing so far.  I would 100% buy this again.  I'm still kicking myself for every thinking about buying another brand's motherboard in the first place.  Should have just stuck with ASUS.  Lesson learned.

Two things I'd change:
1. There are 4 M.2 slots (2 gen 4, 2 gen 5).  I would have gone with 3 gen 5, 1 gen 4.  Or all gen 5.
2. There are no numeric post codes on the board.  Only lights.  They get the job done but a true numeric post code would be better.

Rock solid board

I purchased this motherboard in the beginning of March 2026 and this thing is exactly what I needed for my rig. Have had previous modals in the past. Handles my 9800AMD processor and 5070ti GPU beautifully with no issues. The board is sleek looking. And the WIFI connectability.

A Beautiful Motherboard

It is a very good product, I am very happy with this motherboard I have experienced very little issues and appreciate the bluetooth and wifi capability. I would definitely choose this board again if I was building a new pc. 10/10 motherboard very easy to install if directions are followed.

Best Motherboard Ever!!!

So Far so good, but this MB requires specific RAM to boot, I used the T-Force and turned out not a compatible fit so not able to boot on at first, later after I changed to Corsair it worked great

Pretty nice gaming MB

Bought this mobo as the replacement for brand new Msi board which failed to update bios and crashed. Msi support asked me to do bios flash every time I spoke with them but nothing happened board stuck on 00.
This lovely board from ASU's got fitted water cooled and updated with newest drivers and bios under one day thank you ASU's another great Mobo.

New Mobo

good mid-level board with some extras.   It has been a while since my last (self-built) upgrade, so I was surprised what little issues I experienced.   I searched for the right board and this one seemed to be the right fit for my needs.   I would definitely recommend this to family and friends.

The best there is !

This board is very easy to build with due to its functionality features and it booted up right out of the box with my 9800x3d. Has been great so far, but I don't like how it affects the PCIe lanes. M.2_2 will lower the GPU from 16 lanes to 8 lanes when in use and I think it's M.2_3 that completely disables the second PCI slot (even though most people won't use this slot anyway).

Easy mode

The board looks great, but after installing I had issues with the rgb lights not working on the motherboard and peripherals connected to the motherboard argb headers. My x870-a is not being detected in armoury crate under the aura sync tab even though my ram is. I still see my motherboard under the devices tab in armoury crate but cannot change or even get my rgb lights to work. Disappointed that my brand new board didn't work as it should, but asus support has been on top of either getting me a new board or fixing mine. Asus support did walk through steps on the phone to hopefully fix my issue but nothing worked. Just hoping to get a new motherboard that functions as it should with all the rgb working as it's designed. 3 Stars just because i had issues with mine.

Review- X870-A motherboard, Mine didn't work

I unfortunately cannot recommend this motherboard. I really wanted to like it. The board from aesthetics point is great and looks great in an all white build. Unfortunately that's where it ends. First the board does not have windows 11 driver support for the WiFi or Network card natively. That means if you are installing windows fresh you need to use another computer and download the network driver to load during the windows instillation because windows doesn't recognize either network device. This is a problem because windows requires a network connection to setup for the first time. So if you don't have a second computer and a flash drive good luck installing windows. Second issue is this board uses a intel network card that is very problematic and wish I had done more research before buying this as hardwired it just stops downloading every few seconds. Known and well documented issue. It was such a miserable experience just getting windows installed and trying to download anything including updates as it disconnect's repeatedly. Then the drivers they offer on the website are out dated and most of the features of this board are not natively supported by windows so driver support is horrible. I have been building computers for a long time and this was the worse experience I have had. I returned this board and honestly won't use Asus again. At least for their motherboards.

What an experience not worth having.
