We bought this mainly for our 7 year old grandson. So far, so good. He's at our house a couple of times a week. When he gets here he says hi and takes off for the game. I wish the cord from the game to the controllers were a little longer. I hope we can get cordless controllers before long.

I don't think someone should be able to leave a review unless they are a verified owner unlike the 1st comment above. So lets check this out. Hmm. If Minecraft is so big I am sure the graphics involved in this Sega pack are going to be fine. Also tell me where else you can get 80 games for $45 and lots of them are good. Great console to have for the motorhome for example. No WiFi needed to play and both controllers are attached. No discs or cartridges to lose. All good! Thanks SEGA!

Cant be anything but a 5

This is just like playing the old school games. It even plays cartridges just like the original Sega Genesis!!! It does use RCA Cables but an easy solution to that is to use a VCR/DVD combo and hook it up to your TV output with coaxial cable.  This is a must have for any Mortal Kombat or Sonic fan.

Are there really people complaining about having to use RCA cables with this? Seeing as its a RETRO game from the early 90's, that is the only connection used because HDMI did not exist when this was made. And you can literally buy a HDMI-RCA adapter at any Radio Shack or electronic store for like 10 bucks. This is a great product! I was going to get the handheld one until I saw this one had 81 games instead of the 8 games the handheld had. Buy this, if you love retro, you will be in heaven.

Sonic Saves the Day Once Again

Love this! I bought it for my son. It brings back childhood memories.

got the system plugged in and loaded up then realized it's missing some iconic games in the list. for example Echo The Dolphine,  Street Fighter, Earthworm Jim. on the plus side it does have a cartridge slot so if you already have these games or can find them at a reasonable price you should be about to play them on the system (have not tested this part yet)

Its a nice system

Thought this was going to be a great little old school game for my kid... yea right first you have to have the old school red white yellow connector on you TV to plug in the back or buy av connector with the red white and yellow cords... then  the sound on the game decides when it want to have sound or not unless u keep cutting it on and off then maybe it will feel like working
