These things are fantastic!  Only took a few minutes to install, and the rodents can no longer climb the pole to get to the bird seed.  Also I wrote "rodent" because my issue was with rats -- which was as horrifying as it seems. Squirrels are cute: rats, not so much.  But the rats cannot get past this awesome torpedo baffle. Also it's very well built and I expect it will last many, many years.

Squirrels have been unable to defeat this baffle.  Must be high enough on pole so they don't jump over it and not near anything else they can jump from.

Baffle works.

Baffle works great. Squirrels are going nuts because they can't get to the bird seed. Only complaint I have is the sticker they put on the baffle. It's huge and nothing get it all off! (Not even Goo Be Gone).  So I have that white, sticky stuff with scrape marks on a black baffle. Looks awful, but will wear off eventually.

to prevent squirrels from getting in birdhouse

This is the only baffle I will use on my bird house, bird feeder, and bat house poles.  Not only does it keep out squirrels, but so far, it has also frustrated the black snakes.  Baby blue birds are now much safer.

The only baffle in my yard, because it works!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works as intended, but had to duct tape the fixture so that it wouldn't slide down, even when the screws were fully tightened. It's better looking than the slinky I was using to keep squirrels away.

Good quality baffle.

The quality of the baffle itself is great.  However, I had to rate it only a 3 because of the following:
First, the clamp screws are not long enough for a 1" pipe, as the ad claims.  Thus a trip to the hardware store before I could use.
Second, the only clamp is at the top.  Therefore it will swing back and forth with the wind and bang on a metal mounting pole.  The solution was to cut a 6" circle out of wood, drill a 1" hole in the center, and buy another pipe clamp to go underneath it on the pole.
While simple fixes, for $23 I expected more.

Noisy

In short I would rate this product 5 stars if it weren't for the fact that the wide band circumferential paper label is completely glued onto the baffle!  I could not remove it simply with a plastic putty knife. I had to place the baffle in a laundry sink filled with hot water, let it sit, then scrape it off piece meal. This was very time consuming, a wasteful use of hot water and left a wide band of glue spoiling the beautiful powder coat finish. Be aware that the baffle does not open up and needs to be slipped over a naked end of the pole. Also of the two I ordered, one was dented. I was able to pound this out with a hammer. Basically a well constructed and functional item but UGH!! So to the company that manufactures this product with Audubon`s endorsement - get it right!!
