This Aura frame is a gift for my dear mother-in-law on her 80th birthday. I received one last year as a gift during Christmas and I really love it so I decided to share my joy with her.

These frames are awesome.  I received one as a give a little over a year ago and we had so much fun seeing photos of others who we invited to share with us that we gave two this year as gifts.  
They are easy to use and produce quality photo viewing experiences.  Very little technological experience is needed to participate.

We love our frame

We ordered the Aura Carverfor my mother. She recently lost her husband and moved from their home. We sent the family the link to upload pictures and Mom has thoroughly enjoyed seeing all the pictures! Easy to set up and easy for all to send pictures. Highly recommend for all ages!

Wonderful gift!

This frame is well made and definitely worth the price!  It has unlimited storage and is so easy to set up!  The link has been shared with the entire family across the states and each day we are able to send pictures of family adventures and updates to each other!   It is truly a great way to stay connected with your family, even if they are not close to home.  I would definitely recommend this product to everyone!  You will not be disappointed!!

The Gift That Keeps on Giving!!

I rallied my sisters to get an Aura Frame for our parents several years ago now; since then we each have received our own and now grandparents and in-laws and extended family have received frames as gifts. It's so easy to add photos to our extended network of frames through the app, and we know each addition brings some joy — we get notifications of “love” when we add new photos. It's a perfect gift to share your life with loved ones near and far.

Everyone gets an Aura Frame!

I bought this for my 82 year old grandma. She absolutely loves it! It is very nice looking and super easy to use. The website is fairly easy as well for her. It was also awesome to send everyone the invite link before giving it to her, so it was already preloaded with plenty of photos for her to enjoy. I fully recommend for anyone as this is a great gift.

Wonderful and easy frame!

I like my frame so much that I bought a second one for the grandparents. Clarity of picture is beautiful. The frame is well made and base is sturdy. The cord is convenient (not battery operated). Photos are incredibly easy to upload for the owner as well as collaborators. I have had zero issues with the WiFi connection. We have over 900 photos and videos that shuffle. The only suggestion is that videos would have an option to automatically play with sound (have to touch top of frame to hear). I would buy this frame again and highly recommend it.

Wonderful digital frame

Oddly, I own multiple digital frames, and Aura's Carver is the best. High point: I like the mobile and web-based photo upload methods. Others are phone-only apps, which greatly limits what photos I can easily use. Points for improvement: most photos these days are in vertical orientation (because they are taken with phones), but the Carver only shows in landscape orientation. It's a neat feature of pairing vertical pictures, but the result is making the already small pictures half their size. I would have appreciated an option to use the fame as vertically oriented. Also, videos are disappointing and the speaker is useless (or worse). Make sure to mute it if you are posting videos.

I really like the Carver, but it could be better

Great frame! Very easy to set up and use! Colors are vibrant. The only downside is I have over 800 picures loaded, however the same pictures will repeat over and over. I've used both the shuffle and chronological setting and both repeat pictures. Other than that, I highly recommend, and would buy agin as gifts!

Great frame.

Image quality really is excellent. The Carver Mat is expensive, and the screen resolution and color rendering quality are the reason why.

The interfaces, both physical and digital, are really disappointing. I knew it didn't have a touch screen when I bought it, but my dad (recipient of this gift) kept trying to swipe and pinch-to-zoom, as one does with a screen, and he kept getting frustrated. The touch strip controls on the top of the frame are neither reactive nor intuitive to use, and because my dad has dementia, he can't learn new things, so he kept going back to swiping and pinching the screen in frustration.

The app is truly terrible. Syncing with a Google Photos shared album mostly works, but once you've chosen to sync to a Google Photos album, it's no longer possible to manually add photos or videos through the app. Video is not supported for Google Photos albums, and you have to remember to manually open the app every time you add photos to the shared album to sync the shared album with the frame. Also can't upload videos through the web interface.

I didn't think the lack of battery or on-board storage was going to be an issue until my dad (again, who has dementia) unplugged the frame and walked away with it, at which point it of course stopped working. He can't remember it has zero autonomy, so it mostly sits around unplugged and dead wherever he last forgot it.

Dealing with a person with dementia makes you very aware when something is not intuitive, and everything about the Carver Mat is counterintuitive. When you really start using it, you realise the only application it's suited for is hanging on a wall, but it can't even do that because of its bulky base and plug-in requirement.

Great Image Quality, Expensive, Subpar Interface

Aura server was not accessible on Christmas day making the completion of setup impossible. Also nationally radio advertised discount was deemed invalid at time of purchase. A product that only displays images that requires constant connectivity to internet is over kill and over priced.

If it wasn't a gift I would return it.
