I've had this lock for 5 years. It's never given me any issues. I have several codes I'm using. The battery life is at least a year but, then I knew there was a big difference between rechargeable and regular batteries and the power they provide. Do not use rechargeable batteries, plain and simple. It's not wifi enabled so it only works via Bluetooth when you're in range. If you don't understand the technical side of this lock, you may have unrealistic expectations. This lock works as it should and as described.

Meets expectations

We are using one of these on the main door for several years with no issue, battery holds on well too. With some doors, you just need to pull the door when locking so it locks in the place. The only complaint is the short Bluetooth range, you must almost be in front of the door for the app to work. I've bought a second one and going to order the 3rd lock for the suite door. One feedback on the app and I'm an IT pro, the app UI is designed so bad that I added a new home since I couldn't find the Add a new lock option on the screen! You need to redesign the UI and make adding locks to existing home more clear.

Basic but solid lock

I've had this for 2 years now.  

The pros: smooth locking feature, and the temp codes for contractors and family are nice.

The cons: no light up keypad, no wifi access.

If I had to get another lock, I'd probably pony up a little more and make sure it has a light up key pad and wifi.

My Aura lock is 4 years old but the drive function of the lock has stopped working. It catches and errors out. The key works fine but the electric drive does not. Is there a warranty for this product? Replacement or parts?

Trouble

Just installed but I had quite a time getting it to work as the deadbolt was extremely sticky.  Had to oil it a few times and work it back and forth until it went in and out smoothly.  Because of this, the door handing process did not work the first two times.
But the most frustrating part so far has been that the webpage does not exist to download the app.  Both the QR code and the URL send me to pages that do not exist on the Weiserlock.com site.  You should probably fix this if you would like to keep customers.

Where's the app?

I have a problem setting up the bluetooth connection to the phone? It says press "A" button until blue light comes out but it never lights up?

You guys have set up your software systems poorly. If you want more comments my charges are very very high. You know what's wrong anyway so please simplify your processes!

Long lock setup process on weiser app takes too m

I have 2 of these, neither of which work.  When trying to lock they just make a whirring sound then flash red and the door remains unlocked.  Yesterday and today one of the locks would not unlock, I had to use the key. These locks are a waste of money.

Avoid.

This lock goes through batteries at a rapid rate. Defeats the purpose of a smart lock if you have to keep changing the batteries because the lock won't work and you need the key anyway

A failure as a smart lock
