My wife's vehicle is direct injection, which can cause a buildup of carbon on the valves. I use this product on every other fill up on her vehicle.

This is the best gas additive if you want a clean fuel system, from tank to pump to carburetor or injectors.  It also prevents ethanol lock up in small engines that you're trying to run on 10% ethanol.  WAY cheaper in price than any competitor, and highly concentrated, so you don't need much.  Only thing that is 4 Star about it is the silly plastic sealing ring you have to remove after you take off the cap:  it requires a tool to remove the plastic ring; can't use just a finger, so very inconvenient.  The ring also will sometimes break off, leaving the can sealed, so now you need a needle nosed plier to get it off.

Best thing for a clean gas system

Very good product. Just need to let it set for while to clean up all the build up! It works, I'm a Machanic and couldn't see that the carbon build up on the scope. I put it in and ran it for twenty minutes and let it set and next day did the same and did it again. My car is now not smoking

This is the only product that I've seen with my own eyes that works. Many years ago, I pulled the heads off of a Chevrolet and they were clean along with the top of the pistons. I asked what they used and they said Berrymans B12 just before an oil change.

At 263,000   miles, my usually smooth inline 6 cyl, 4.0L engine started idling rough and using more fuel.  Based on a tip, I got this stuff and used two cans for the first fill-up and then a can per tank for three complete fill-ups.   Apparently, the fuel injectors needed some love and this product actually worked.  Now I use one can every oil change.  It's weel worth the price.

If you're looking to perform a carbon cleaning on a direct injection engine, this is the stuff you want to use. Close the valves, fill up the ports with B-12 and let it sit for a little bit. Scrubbing out the carbon couldn't be easier. 100% Recommend. Performed on my 2008 VW Toaureg. 

I also use this monthly in all my vehicles now due to it's performance.

Does just what the writing on the can says it will do. I have revived many small engines that had filthy fuel tanks and gummed up carburetors. Once your small engine has been cleaned, use this to maintain it! Really good product I have purchased many times.

Best fuel and cleaner.  eats paint..others do not. safe for catalytic  and air mass. add to the tank or spray in air cleaner opening. drops RPM 200 right now..used 248000 on old 84 datsun nissan truck..still doesn't use oil. cleans tank ,fuel injection ,spark plugs. Decarbonizes head and piston chamber..It smells good like nail polish remover..evaporates very quick no residual. Caution it eats paint. Old dirty tanks may break out varnish and need  2 cans.one after another..safe on gaskets. I have used for many years. Even on lawn mowers..and as a degreaser..Love it..WORKS!!

For years I have been using Berryman's B12 for routine maintenance and deep cleaning. Where I currently reside it gets pretty cold for a few months out of the year, people Park there carbureted toys for several months and call me up wondering how much it's going to cost them to make it run right again and I tell them about $10. What you need to do is throw in a can of this stuff right here and fill your tank with some premium fuel and let it work its magic. This stuff will absolutely clean up any residual residue from bad quality fuel or gas that sat all winter. You can also use it for preventive maintenance like adding it to your tank before you plan on storing it to act as a fuel stabilizer or simply pour in a can a few times a year to keep your fuel system sparkly clean. Other brands like Seafoam have national recognition for their long-standing reliability but this stuff works just as well if not better at half the price.

Berryman B-12 Chemtool has more than doubled in price at Walmart, like most of their automotive chemicals. For carb cleaner I go to a hardware store now and buy a QUART of xylene or toluene for a better price than Walmarts Berryman B-12.

Buy xylene instead.
