I used to professionally tan body builders so I know a thing or 2 about tanners. I also had previously used St Tropez religiously for years on myself. I grabbed this on a whim when running errands and haven't gone back. 
Scent- I almost gave this a 4 star but as far as self tanners- it's one of the better ones
Appearance- after applying I had a slight green tint but it wasn't there after rinsing 
The product is a foam that spreads easily and I was left with no spots or streaks and a golden dark tan lasting about 5 days

My previous go to name brands ( Banana Boat / Jergens self tanning cream) don't even come close to b. tanned mousse color, ease of use, NO streaking!!! NO fragrance / bad smell
follow directions EXACTLY!!! use a tanning mitt!!!
The end color is INCREDIBLE!!! natural, golden tan. Product is buildable. Once applied as directly and  dried completely no transfer to clothes. I can't say enough good things about the self tanner

I love the btan products. They give such a good color without leaving you looking orange. You really can not mess this up. But I would get the mitt it makes applying so much easier.

Great color

This is the best self tanner I have ever used. I would recommend this to anyone that wants to look tan without having to be out in the sun and heat so much. The color is perfect. I don't particularly like the smell, but I have used many self tanners, and this one doesn't smell nearly as loudly as the other others have.

I'm so glad I took a chance with this sunless tanner! When I was younger I wasted so much time and money on sunless tanners that would leave me orange and smelled so awful that I gave up for the longest time. Fast forward to now I'm in my 40s with a teen daughter that has been asking for sunless tanner. I was hesitant to try it, but wanted to experiment on myself before she used it just in case so she didn't end up orange. My skin is dry and this worked flawlessly, no orange or weird colored spots and it doesn't stink like most sunless tanners. My suggestions when buying this sunless tanner.. buy a tanning mitt it does not come with anything to apply it and apply for longer than the hour recommended and for a darker tan reapply after the first hour.

Just buy it and try it. Use a glove for easiest/best application. This stuff works like a charm and gives you a healthy looking natural tan! Camaras never pick up skin tone properly but its glowy and tan! And im a pasty person XD but this stuff works!!!

It doesn't make much of a difference if you only wear it for an hour like it says. I wore mine overnight and washed it off in the morning. It left a gorgeous color, no orange color left behind, even on my hands, elbows and feet. It has a greenish undertone. It does have that self tanner smell to it, but after two washes it goes away.

Gorgeous Tan

I was a little afraid to make this purchase because i had become accustomed to my regular tanner, but i had to try it for the price. I wasn't totally pleased with the color, but it wasn't because of any orangey colored tones, it was simply because it wasn't dark enough for me. I would fore warn anyone with a  lighter skin tone not to use it because of the green undertones in this product. And for anyone who does buy this, dont be turned off by the initial grayish color of the foam, it will turn brown. Its just a little off putting when you 1st see it, but dont be scared if you have an olive tone complexion, youll look great. Like i said, the color wasnt bad and especially for the price, but it just wasnt dark enough for me and it didnt last that long. Good enough type tanner if youre in a pinch or kinda broke.

It wasnt the best tanner, but far from the worst

goes on evenly and u can see where u apply it as u apply it..making sure to cover every spot. wear it overnight and shower it off in the morning to remove it from the creases and all the spots u dont need it to appear,such as ankles and wrists. great product for the money. but dont waste your time with the mitt it just sucks up allthe product off your skin. this does the job in only one coat when using latex gloves. very happy with this in between tanning sessions

I'm a loyal B.tan user because it always looks the most natural on my skin. It has a green undertone so no orangey skin which I appreciate, and it's very budget friendly. Plus I like the cheeky branding. But this particular bottle I ordered seemed to be broken, the pump didn't foam it just pumped liquid :( it was somewhat useable but very messy and wasteful and the guide color was a lot darker than usual. Which is no biggie, some may even say that's a plus if you're newer to self tan, it's just not what I'm used to. Very much looked SUPER green while it developed. I mean like, Fiona in her Ogre form type of green. I was pretty bummed as a lot of it was wasted and it was harder to work with but the end result still looked beautiful bronze as usual.

The smell is like a regular sunless tanning product. Not that great, the color goes on. But it's kind of a greenish color and it doesn't really work that well and it rubs off on your clothes and for it to have 4 dots on it, meaning the darkest tan  It doesn't give you the darkest
