I have previously used a lower cost competitors lanolin product for many years with good success. I bought this product with hopes that it will resist was off more successfully. It does cost more that my previous product.
Much thinner than fluid film, no need to warm before spraying. So far I'm am very happy.

Picked some of this up before winter to do one of my cars to help keep salt and rust corrision down. So far it's been decent. I can tell that the layer it creates on surfaces has been a repellant to moisture and salt. So far so good.

Amazing product to keep your car running smooth

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using Blaster products, and this Surface Shield is one of the best rust protectants I've tried. I used it on my garage door hinges, tools, and undercarriage parts, and it leaves a nice, even coating that protects well against moisture. It doesn't dry up or wash off easily like some other sprays.
The only downside is that it has a bit of an oily feel, so I recommend wiping off the excess if you're applying it indoors or on parts you handle frequently. Otherwise, this stuff is a great value and really does what it claims—long-lasting rust protection.

Lube and shield!

Having had 40 years of experience with containers like this one i could not get the lid off this product to mix it properly, so plan on a way to shake it. Surface shield is easy to spray, has very minimal odor and is very easy to clean up after. It does not drip after applied even when generously applied.  The coverage and the way it flows  onto your work  makes  things go very rapidly .  Lighting is most important to see your progress as it is an almost clear product.  It is best to warm the product to  about 90 degrees  by placing spray containers in hot water. I sprayed the product at  about 80 psi which seemed  effective. I had no concerns with it after getting it on my hands as it caused no irritation and wiped right off. I would certainly say it is a very approachable product for DIYers as well as experienced professionals and would certainly recommend.

Some parts were inside so I needed to make sure I didn't get this stuff on the seats. Well there's pretty much no way to control the spray so only use it outdoors

Works, but it's messy

Why doesn't the can come with plastic straws ( stacked by tape , like with fluid film )? 

I was looking at the product in the store and not a single aerosol can had a straw which would make it hard to spray the product properly in certain places .
