works great for dogs who are already used to petsafe electic fence collars.  when we want to take them outside of their perimeter, just the beep alone on this collar works to have the dogs return.  very rarely do we ever need to use the vibrate or shock feature and it's effective for a long range.

I've not shocked my babies. i think it's inhumane. unless they are going after someone (which mine are trained better even when it comes to other animals), i have used the buzzer. and the beeper part. i only had to use the collars for about a week or two. i got my moms baby when she passed. he has always been an escaped artist. and he would lead my little ol' man off and so i got these. used them a week. to correct goin on adventures w out me. lol. they are temporary ways to fix a behavioral problem. dont shock them tho unless they are about to chew someone or someones baby. i wish i could've found one w no shock ive almost hit the shock a few times when i ment bee0 them. charging is easy and fairly quick the remote should have the vibrations an beep on top. and the shock just under. so theres no mistaking shock w the two that should be used more.

I have struggled to find the right collar for my hyper dog. This has 2 collars where one can charge why he wears the other or if you have multiple dogs!! Great battery life and easy to use!!

2 collars in different colors make for easy dog ID. Dogs respond quickly just using the sound of vibration. They are just enough to break their focus and turn their attention to my commands.  I will try not to use the shock.

it works!! I like that it has 3 modes. beep...vibrate and shock. adjustable limits.  I had to use the shock more at first.  Now a lot of times if I just beep it. she comes because she dislikes the vibrate and hates shock.

Love the fact I can have both dogs on one controller only gave 4 starts because after an hour or so they power themselves off literally have to ding until they power back up.  I understand this is most likely a a battery saver setting , but it makes it confusing to them.

Training collars

This is both a well-made and well considered training collar. Functionally it provides everything needed. Chime, strobe feature, vibration mode, and shock mode.  There is a downside, however. Range. I live in the desert. No trees, no obstructions. Nothing but flat dirt adorned with scrub brush and the occasional cactus. One would expect a perfect environment with optimal range for a radio collar of any type. Not the case with this training collar. I have measured the distance between the transmitter and receiver and found it to  very anywhere between 101 150 yards. Roughly 300 to 450'. The device is promoted with the range of 3300 feet.  Both in empirical measure and on my dog, range simply is not there. I can literally see and call to my dog yet have the collar out of range. In my situation, a large area where my dogs drove beyond visual range, this collar is useless. That said it is an inexpensive and well constructed collar for someone taking their dog to a dog park or a small backyard. I'm very happy with the quality, but the range of this device is absolutely deplorable.

Great Device, Nonexistent Range

Battery life is abysmal.  Plus they don't work half of the time. And they turn themselves off and I was unaware of that fact. Not thrilled with these collars.  I have two dogs over 120 pounds. The collars HAVE TO WORK CONSISTENTLY BUT THEY DO NOT.

ive ourchased this item 2xs. One last a few months the other last not even a whole 2 days. On lead outside the collar got yanked and it snapped the brackets on the black block piece(the actual device). Resulting in unable to attach it to a collar.
