I really like this adapter. It's consistently made my connection going from wifi to ethernet 3 to 5 times faster, and also more stable. My wifi was good for gaming but often has slow moments that can make it so much slower at times, and this gives me the constant faster speed I want. No packet loss and really good ping too, for those who know what those are.

While it didn't work on my M4 Macbook or my parents' Intel Macbooks, it worked perfectly on my Windows laptop where I do most of my online gaming anyway. Just plugged it in with the ethernet cable connected and I was good to go. I've had it for months now and had no issues. And naturally if it's good enough for gaming it's good enough for pretty much anything else.

Haven't tried it out on my Switch since the dock it has doesn't need an adapter for ethernet, but I bet this would work perfectly well for it too if your dock doesn't have an ethernet port. It only seems to be incompatible with Mac computers. Definitely recommend this one if you're using anything else.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works great. Windows didn't recognize device and driver install didn't seem to work, but then lo and behold, it was functioning perfecly, giving smooth ethernet via usb to laptop with no RJ45 connection.

Had an old computer device with only an RJ45 hook up. need something to hook to usb on the computer.

Just plug and play on my Windows 10 desktop.  But you do have to remember to disable your old adapter - or get into your computer and remove it.
