Stain Removal

Setup requires minimal effort and is straightforward.

Can be affordable, but also steep for certain features.

Holds plenty of water for extended cleaning time.

Simple design makes it easy to navigate and use.

Removes deep, set-in stains and odors with ease.

Made with solid materials for durability.

I've never been impressed with the rental units you get at the big box stores. I've had much better luck with smaller home carpet cleaners... except in the durability department. Some of them work great, but then die in a year. I finally ponied up for the Big Green and am extremely impressed with how well it cleans carpet in ONE pass. I had a cat mess pressed into the fibers of a carpet in the garage. I used this as a test: just used hot water and soap in the Big Green. First pull - it's noticeably better. Second pull - it's gone. I couldn't believe it, this would've required lot's of hand-brush scrubbing. The rotating brush is also designed to not clog up with hair, it spits them out as a fur balls. Very impressed, and I have a lot of experience with these types of machines. It has to be the best one I've used yet.

Cleaning power is excellent

BISSELL Homecare

We moved out of an apartment and into a home that use to have pets in it. Both needed cleaning pretty bad when I we moved. The machine got the job done well. I'm confident we'll be using it for many years to come.

Great for whole home cleaning

Worth every penny! This carpet cleaner has far exceeded my expectations! I cannot believe the amount of deep down dirt, dust, and hair it manages to get out! I regularly vacuum with a high quality product and this has truly made me a regular shampooer as well!

Big Green Machine of my Dreams!

The Big Green Machine did not disappoint, like many other users I found the machine to do an excellent job of cleaning carpet and removing much of the moisture.

Big Green Machine after 2000 square feet of carpet

You will not be disappointed. This is very well designed. Everything works like it should.

Wow, just Wow.

I was skeptical about using this on our carpets vs professional cleaners. Hands down, this machine is outstanding value for the money, at even twice the price. We did our upholstery, carpets and they are like new. I no longer sneeze from dust on the couches or on the carpet. The machine is a bit on the heavy, side - but not objectively so. Remember, weight is an asset for deep cleaning The machine is amazingly maneuverable regardless. It does not soak the carpets or upholstery. They really engineered this well. Folding handle, water tank(s) are easy to refill and clean, as is the roller system. Parts are very easy to order and replace - if necessary. I can't speak for the durability as we haven't had the machine for a long enough time. However, working with this machine, I can't imagine it not giving good service for a number of years.

I would highly recommend purchasing

It worked as advertised. I used it on a large area rug and on a soiled mattress. It has met all expectations and then some. My new favorite toy.

As advertised

We own an apartment complex and after about 40 years, our expensive commercial shampoo machine died. I needed something that was commercial grade but didn't want to spend thousands. I gambled on the Bissell Big Green. I was very pleased with the way the carpet looked after shampooing it. I knew how much water was used and the amount I extracted was almost the same. My only complaint is the maneuverability is not as easy as I hoped. I am used to using a wand.

I am pleased with the Big Green

Janelle McFarlane

The user guide is incomplete. The machine works just fine as advertised except for incomplete information

Not a toy

I have a lot of carpeting, and pets. I own another cleaner, use it to clean up spots. I knew I needed a good thorough cleaning, but was not expecting the absolute filth that I found in the discharge tank. The machine extracted a lot of water, it didn't take long to dry.
You need a lot of room to maneuver this, so clearing out as much furniture as possible is best. The unit is heavy, but if you are used to pushing a lawn mower, it's easier than other cleaners I've used. The large water tank is wonderful, otherwise I'd have to stop after cleaning 1/4 of a room.
One downside, you can't see what you are extracting in real time, so you can't see if the water is clean or dirty. Also, it's goi g to be a challenge to take the unit downstairs, it's heavy.

Fantastic cleaner

bissellpwr

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] used to have a Bissell proheat 2x and it worked great until it stopped spraying water. got this one in a hope that it would be more industrial. the big green dud is a major issue and a very big loss of money unless I can return this on line purchase. 1) for car interior the attachment is too wide. its good for stair cases I guess but for car seats its to big. the old proheat 2x had a much smaller handle and worked well. 2) the device leaves streaks up and down my light tan carpet and where I pause or change direction it darkens the carpet. so cleaned the carpet first with the correct measure of cleaner added. after streaking used a greatly reduced amount and it came out as bad or worse. the old 2x never did this. our carpet looks awful. My guess is its picking up a lot of dirt then dripping or leaking the darker water onto the carpet in a more concentrated line. so all of it doesn't make it to the dirty water bucket. will continue to steam clean a few more times as the carpet gets cleaner to see if that is the problem and hoping the problem goes away. why is it so hard to build a good product that costs hundreds of dollars.

It is messing up my carpet
