I bought this to replace an unsatisfactory hand vac of another make. We don't have pets but the Pet Hair Eraser is such a great little hand vac for general use anyway. It is cordless and sits in the charging receptacle on the wall. I love the feel of it in my hand, it is light and comfortable to hold, and I love the power of it and the fact that it doesn't lose power in the time I am using it. I find it useful for quick cleanups on hard surfaces and carpeting.

More than I hoped for.

We were searching for a replacement hand-vac when we stumbled upon the innovative Bissell "Pet Hair Eraser". Having a pet who sheds a ton of hair daily, it appeared to be an excellent solution to our needs. The rubber tip worked even better that advertised, cleaning deep nooks and crannies of his dog bed where other full-sized vacuums had failed! The power and the longevity of the charge are incomparable. We seriously recommend this product, pets or not, for its power and efficiency!

Excellent Product!

So far so good! It truly does pick up the cat hair so I love that. I haven't used it a lot yet but I expect to soon!

I would buy this again

I had this vac for 2.5 years and its battery was good the whole time until I gave it to a friend. Charges lasted 10+ min or longer than I usually used it
Negatives didn't pick up some heavier objects such as as rocks or mud clumps in my entry.
Other than that really liked it. 
I went with black and decker and I bought my mom a shark and they both accomplish what this one didn't. Note the bissle had the best battery of the 3.

I have had two Handheld Bissell per hair eraser vacuums, The first stopped working within the first couple of months and completely stopped turning on at all. It was replaced by the store with a new one which stopped holding the charge for more than 30 seconds before needing another several hour charge, again within months. (try vacuuming your pet hair mess in 30 second spurts - impossible). Would not purchase another cordless Bissell. Would like it replaced with a corded one but not willing to invest in a third bissell.

Product did not hold charge.

This hand vacuum wa so disappointing. It doesnt stay charge more then a minute even after charging for 2 hours. It is not powerful enough to pick up pets hair.

Not good
