The amount of hair (human and cat) that this machine pulled up was incredible. We had vacuumed with a very good quality vacuum and still there was hair coming out of the carpet - the bristles are that good.  Our area rug in the living room looks brand new and the pattern is bright and noticeable again. We did two runs of a very heavily  soiled area in our hallway and the carpet again looks brand new. The caroets all frel soft and no crunch like using a rental machine.  We haven't used the upholstery attachment yet but will do so shortly and review then. I would definitely recommend this machine for carpets it's amazing and very easy to use.

Nothing but excellent results so far

I am a Bissell fan and have had a couple of different cleaners in the past. This one is the best one yet. It's super simple to use and really cleans well. Absolutely amazing how much nastiness it extracts from carpets.

The motor is strong but the parts is getting damaged easily! It didn't worked for the 3rd time!

Not a reliable product

I bought this cleaner and had to return it 3x straight out of the box. Each machine was defective and I should have just got my money back when I had the chance. I used it 3x and when I went to use it again lo and behold it didn't work. I contacted Bissell and they refuse to give me my money back. The offered to service it but I am not interested as this is a very defective product and it is a HUGE hassle to bring this large machine in each time it doesn't work. Out of the box the hose attachment would not spray, the main unit leaked or didn't suck up water. My advise is not to buy this terrible product in the first place.

Terrible product with terrible customer service

Was excited to get this as a gift. But when I opened it looks like it was already used. The bristles were dirty and the cleaning solution was not in there and other pieces were missing.
