This is the second Bissell spot cleaner we've bought.  We keep one at a vacation/rental condo and the other at home.  We used to use them to clean up accidents our dogs (or renters) had.  Now we have a cat instead, and the machine does a good job cleaning up the nastiness that surrounds his ejected hairballs (yuck!).

Like it so much we have two!

it definitely took out the carpet stains. took the pet urine smell off my couches %26 the vomit stains out my car LOL . super content. EVERYTHING IS CLEAN %26 SMELLING GOOD. WORTH THE INVESTMENT %26 TO KEEP AROUND.

Great little machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am reviewing this not just for the #sweepstakes but also because it is an excellent carpet cleaner that I use nearly daily. It is loud but the most powerful portable vac I have ever had. Previously i had a little green machine and then a little green pro heat and this one blows both of those two out of the water. This is powerful enough to get every stain, and the stain trapper tool helps keep the hose clean by getting most of the pet mistakes up before i switch to the carpet tool to soap and get the rest of the mess cleaned. 100% would buy again!

Easy to use and VERY POWERFUL

I like using it on my stairs and in the car, where accidents are most difficult to get at. I wish the hose was longer and detachable, but I will.take the benefit over the detractors. Very effective kit. Easy to use.

I purchased this to aid in detailing my cars. 

Pros: It is lightweight and very portable. It does clean decently, but requires many passes sometimes to come out clean. The power cord is very long.

Cons: It is loud, very loud, I'm a car guy so typically noise doesn't bother me, but with this I wear ear plugs. The hose is too short; I typically have to lift it into the car with me and work my way out. It can be annoying in some awkward places and again its loud and your right next to it. 

Overall, I would purchase again, I have always been happy with Bissel products and for the price I feel it was worth it.

It does a good job, not great, but good enough.

It is very hard on the arms to get a good size spot cleaned really well but it does a good job once completed.  The whole cleaner is made of brittle plastic so I do wonder just how durable it will be over time.

Evaluation of. Bissell spot cleaner

Loved this cleaner until the hose split at the handle.  Used this cleaner less than 25 times yet the hose split rendering it useless.  The way it is designed the hose has a constant stress on it when the hose is stowed.  This constant stress will split the hose.  If you buy this do not stow the hose.

Would not buy again as designed - split hose
