Connection through window is difficult to use.

Quiet and great for the average size bedroom

Air conditioner

Please try to plan ahead and buy this during winter, spring, or fall. You will be glad. Rather than being hot and uncomfortable then rushing frantically to buy it, you can easily install it and have it ready before the heat waves. I bought Black and Decker because they make good products that do not seem to break. There were many others on the market but this is the best. It is technically thought of as being for one room, but we found if you keep bedroom doors open and maybe a ceiling fan or box fan at the other end of the house, you can keep the heat down throughout and be comfortable. It has many advantages. You can take it with you when you move. The hose out the window idea sounded concerning when we purchased it since there were crank windows, but our relative also bought one and had regular slide windows, so we experienced  both window types. The setup comes with a piece that you put into your slide window. It fit fine. If you have any minor imperfections in the fit, you can just use green tape for any tiny variances. For the crank window I bought a separate kit that is sold for just that purpose. I ended up using a large sheet of clear plastic and green taped it around the window case and it worked all summer. Make sure you use tape that is temporary and will not pull off the paint if you are renting a place. There were some days we used it day and night. It made a big difference to our quality of life.

All of the provided ductwork parts were simple to install using the easy to understand instructions.

Great Single Room Air Conditioner

It started to struggle a little bit in the 110s but I think any machine would have. It's been a lifesaver. I like the timer function. It was extremely easy to set up and the controls are intuitive.

Great portable air conditioner so far

Love it! Not too loud, cools the room quickly. Very heavy, be prepared if you have to carry it up 3 flights of stairs. Easy to set up, easy to use, the remote is very convenient as well!

Great Investment

This works well but the vent connection through the window is poorly designed.  The instructions to attache the vent panel are terrible and do not work.  You have to figure it out yourself.  When hooked up the vent barely stays together, poor design.  It does pump out the cold air but can not be moved around or the vent falls off.

Portable AC

This portable air conditioner is more quiet than my old one. Love the ease of use. Just wish I could adjust the timer on the machine itself and not only on the remote. Other than that I love it!

Quiet and cold!

I got this because my son is allergic to his own sweat so he has to stay cool always. It was A little annoying to put together the vent so it fits right, we had to make some cuts otherwise it blew the hot air right back in the house. Works great now though! Very cold and powerful.

Worth it!

Buyer beware this unit has 3 filters and the 2 condenser filters have to be taken out with screw that nothing fits it to turn it. So every week you have to un screw it if you can to clean those filters. No other unit has this. This is not a user friendly unit. The manual is misleading because it shows that they can just slide out, but that is not the case. You have take the screws out that none of my tools fit the screw. See the pics. No other unit has this problem.
