I really like this trimmer.  It is the first battery powered trimmer I have ever owned, and it has not disappointed.  It is light weight but has plenty of power to get everything I need done.  I had issues with getting the line fed correctly on previous trimmers but this self-feeding works great.  The only thing I don't care for as much is the safety button that needs to be pressed in to press the trigger.  It's a little awkward to use but the safety is important.  Overall I highly recommend.

Perfect for my needs

Being an elderly woman, this weedeater worked wonderfully for me!  It's very lightweight and helps me keep the outer part of my property well-trimmed.  It's quiet operation is nice.  It works very well in chopping down tall grass around trees.  Although I wouldn't recommend it for heavy weeded areas, it works fine for what I ordered it for.  It came in original box with a battery, string, and battery charger.  A great deal altogether from Black and Decker.

Great Buy on Weedeater

I love this weed eater. I have never been able to effectively handle a gas powered weed eater because of the weight. This weed eater is light but does an excellent job trimming. I trimmed at our lake cabin and then at our main house and the battery is still strong. I am 70 years old but very active and do not mind yard work. This tool is great!

Pleased with this purchase

Assembly was real easy and consisted of pushing the plastic guard into a slot (1 screw) and attaching the D shaped handle (1 bolt).

Just the ticket for what I needed. Very happy with it.

Light enough in weight to be comfortable.

This trimmer does what it's supposed to do, decent price too.

Very light weight and easy to use.

Love this weed wacker.   Ive used the older version for over 4 years and loved it as well.  This one has a stronger battery plus it really cuts through thick weeds.  I'm a senior citizen, female and short.  This adjusts nicely to your height and is easy to change the string.  It is also very light weight.  I used to use a gas powered weed wacker which left my shoulders and arms in a lot of pain.  I highly recommend this int!

Best weed wacker

I love that the angle changes for edging vs. trimming, which makes me feel like a pro after two uses! I am a short 60-year-old woman who has had surgery on one hand, needs surgery on the other hand, and has back trouble constantly. Being able to adjust the length of the staff and the position of the handle makes this light-weight product a Must Have for all DIY landscapers! I wish that all of my gardening tools were cordless!

Versatility without Cords!

20V is a marketing lie, it is the same 18V batteries of yonder save with a new connector so you can't use your old 10V batteries, in the EU they forced B%26D to market this as 18V but the connector is different anyway.

I bought Black and Decker because I use the 20v battery for several shop and yard tools.  The trimmer is easy to use with some minor annoying flaws such as the lower handle not locking in well.  Walmart had a better price than Home Depot , Ace, and Lowe's.

Weed wackier works well

It trims well but the battery life isn't very good. A second backup battery costs more than half the price of the entire trimmer itself. Not impressed. But wanted a trimmer that wasn't gas powered and trimmers with cords are cumbersome. I wish they'd improve battery life or price backup batteries more reasonably.

i thought i would like this weedeater,  but, the fully charged battery lasts about 15 minutes.  i figured I'll buy a 2nd battery. the weedeater with a battery cost $69.00. the replacement battery is $72.00. i'm thinking i should return it.
