For whatever reason my old B&D charger was not charging the new B&D battery—both were appropriate to each other. This is working very well,. Not the charger or battery fault, but I can use neither since the trimmer gave out after a 10 second whir once the new battery was installed.

On my third one now

I bought the B & D 40v hedge clipper with LSC40 charger for my home in Florida. Worked great so I bought another one for my home in another state. That was a year ago. I used the new one three times and charged it after each use. This last time (#4) the charging light did not come on. I tried several outlets, same results. Does Black and Decker stand behind their products or are buyers stuck having to buy yet another piece of equipment?

Very disappointed with B & D 40v battery charger

I bought a string trimmer over winter charged my battery keep in storage in closet. Inside my house closet temp controlled spring comes battery still had charge after trimming went to charge it started working then stopped blinks says there is some thing wrong. so now I have to try buying a new charger hopefully this will last longer then one charge.

I have the B&D weedeater and chainsaw. They are good and great, respectively. The needed battery charger is another story. I have two 40 amp batteries for a large yard. Initially, I was able to use one battery, put it in the charger, use the second battery, and when that was spent the first battery was mostly charged. No more. The charger will charge for 5-10 minutes and then flash red, regardless of the battery, unplugging & replugging in charger, etc. etc. It takes forever monitoring it to get a battery charged and I do not believe the batteries get fully charged even after all battery lights are lit. I wish a third party manufacturer would make a reliable charger for Black & Decker 40 amp batteries!

Does NOT Last!

This is advertised as having a wall mountable base. If that's true it certainly isn't apparent how that is suppose to be done.

Today I received my new trimmer/sweeper combo & this charger was include.  Plugged the charger into the outlet & no green light.  I inserted the 40v battery in the charger & still no green light to indicate it's charging.  I'm going to be sending it back.  Very disappointed.

New purchase.  Plug in batter and it pluses green (charging) and after awhile flashes red (failure).  Battery light indicated 2/3 charge.  Replaced unit with new battery and charger.  EXACT same issue, initial charge and then flashing red.   Same issue on two new units ??   Where is the quality control?
