The B&D Electric Sweeper/Blower Vacuum is easy to use for debris cleanup, and doesn't require an electrical cord, which makes it all the more attractive to me when using it around my pool. The lithium battery is powerful and lasts a long time before it requires charging. I'm very impressed withy the technology that B&D has implemented. I would like to have a spare battery handy, just in case the one being used drains completely.

Great tool for outside maintenance

This blower/vac worked so well (for light use as it is intended for) that it has created a monster - my wife now goes around the whole yard cleaning. The unit is powerful enough to pick up pine needles and even dried corn husk that has blown in from the fields around us. The only complaint my wife has is the catch bag could be bigger but that would also make the unit much heavier to handle when full. The 40v battery gives good power to run the machine for well over an hour on high and charges quickly. All-in-all great machine looking forward to years of use.

Great handy tool for keeping areas clean

Love how compact this unit is. Switching from blower to vac is fairly simple. Well balanced, light weight, and easy to operate. 
Like most things that are compact it lags a little in power, but performs as expected. 
Vacuums up smaller leaves very well,  has problems with larger ones, such as cottonwood leaves. Battery dies faster than I had hoped.  Overall this is great for smaller jobs, if you plan on doing an entire yard with this you will be disappointed. Works great for what it was made for.

Not bad for the cost.

My 4 star rating comes with the caveat that this is for people who prefer ongoing maintenance to periodic big jobs. You can't just bury the vacuum nozzle in a pile of leaves and get any results. Having said that, the sweeper, especially, is great for staying on top of leaves. When using the vacuum, if you hover just over the leaves, it works just fine. In any configuration it's great when you don't have much time and don't want to mess with gas or extension cords. I'm very satisfied with the power and performance.

The sweeper works better and longer than the vacum

Even tho this leaf sweeper is made for hard surfaces, not lawns, I had hoped it would be a little useful on lawns. (I'm old and disabled and unable to rake leaves. Larger battery-operated blowers that work on lawns. are too heavy for me. ) This sweeper works pretty well on the driveway and deck, but I'm having trouble blowing the leaves where I want them to go. I think I will learn how to direct the leaves with more practice.

Good Sweeper on Hard Surfaces; Not For Grassy Area

I bought this a month or so ago and have used it often. It's great on small leaves, but not damp or wet ones. The impeller and exhaust clog too easily, thus cutting off the vacuum strength. I had to unclog the exhaust tube into the bag with kitchen tongs so that it would word properly once again. What can be done to either avoid such clogging or more easily unclog the vacuum?

I have a number of hand held blowers and this one is the weakest of the bunch. You would be better off buying a 40V variable speed blower for about the same price.

Not enough power.

It is not as powerful as it was advertised. But used it due to it is light and easy to operate. Now into second yr it does not run but a minute or less. Battery is full and no jam, so what is problem? Had to go back to corded leaf vacuum

Disapointed

i don't know if i like the machine because it came with a bad battery.i tried to charge it and it's flashing the code for a bad battery 
 what do i do about this

Very disappointed.  Did not have enough power to suck up leaves for mulching.  Then tried to use it for blowing leaves off the porch and did not have enough power to work effectively.  Wrote to company and returned product.  Do not recommend!
