This unit performed better than expected.  Normally, the handhelds are weak and cannot use attachments because of the ridiculously wide nozzles.  Also, debris retention on other units is a simple one way rubber flap.  On THIS unit, it's like they scaled down a proper machine.  Suction is very good and it's easy to empty and maintain the filter.  I just might need to buy a secind one to keep in my “smaller than a teardrop” tiny  RV.

After reading some mixed reviews I was hesitant to buy this vacuum, don't let the bad reviews scare you away, it works great. The power cord is plenty long enough to reach everywhere in our minivan and it makes quick work of dirt and stuff that gets tracked in. It is much more convenient than having to go to a car wash just to sweep the car. I feel like the suction power is stronger than I expected being 12v and the flexible hose makes it easy to get in small spaces. Would definitely buy again.

Good Vacuum for the Minivan

After 2 years of being a new mom with no time to use the vacuume, you can imagine how dusty my car had become. This portable vac. is a life saver.  It cleans everything immediately. The suction is good. The cord is long enough to reach the trunk of a cedan even when plugged in the outlet on the CD compartment located between the front seat. Worth every penny.

Awesome helper.

This vacuum is superb.  It has enough slack to get to the entire vehicle and I have an SUV.  I love the fact that I don't have to pull up to a car vacuum at the car wash and can get my interior vacuum at anytime.  I only had this item for about 2 weeks so I hope it stands up to the impression it has already given me.

Great Car Addition

Excellent Car Vaccum

Very convenient and quick for routine cleaning.  Being 12 volt, it lacks power for heavy duty jobs.  Also, the filter needs cleaned routinely so as to keep good suction.

Only used it once. It cuts off when it gets to hot. It doesn't have the same auction as the car wash but gets the job done. You don't have to worry about it not holding a charge in 6 months because it has a cigarette lighter plug for use. It does not plug into the wall where you can use it in your home also.

Suction power is not great. I'd hoped for better. I did decide to keep it, for what it was worth.

B&D 12v Flexi Auto Vac

Very poor suction. Plus the suction piece is very small and narrow. It took forever to vacuum my car. And the ac adapter cord gets tangled and is constantly in the way.

I would say it sucks but it doesn't.

Like others note, battery life isn't long (not during use, but longevity). What lasted enough to do my SUV is not 10 second on, turns off, I turn it back on and get another 10-15 seconds, etc etc. frustrating and doesn't appear to user serviceable (easy).
